Honest question, because I haven't been to France in decades now: it's 2 am, you are stumbling out of a tavern, and you want something to eat that is relatively inexpensive and accessible. What are your general choices in a major French city?

If you are lucky : kebab or stuff like that, you can also order some food ( fries etc ) at the pubs. Note that I am not living in Paris, there are maybe more food dealers opened at 2 AM.

Pizzeria restaurants tend to be mom and pop. They also tend to be the kind that might have a square slice.

The square cut is unknown here and pizzas in restaurants aren't sliced ( I guess you can ask tho ). Fork and Knife are the tools of the trade.
