Please solve my 28 year old mystery - CLOCKMAN still at large

I see someone last year asked about a film he remembered seeing on Nickelodeon but to no avail. I'm sure trying to ask the guys who produced a show 30 years ago might come up empty due to years of forgotten memories or thrown-out paperwork. It's really up to those of us with enough brain cells to recall even the slightest piece of animation that showed up on there.

I bothered coming across this in my usual manner thanks to Google and the esoterical searches I make daily. I might know the answer, but it's probably not what the guy was thinking anyway.

It is true a lot of what Nickelodeon played back then was rather surreal at times (often the experimental works like those of Norman McLaren often showed up on there). I credit the early days of cable TV and Nickelodeon in general for nurturing my open-mindedness to this stuff since that was all I had to see outside regular television (what else did you have besides soaps). The pre-schooler program "Pinwheel" use to acquire and play a lot of outsider productions, mostly from Europe, though sometimes stuff was played elsewhere on schedule such as "filler" between program breaks. Over the decade I bothered to search for or re-discover these gems by accident, and managed to point people to those sources.

The film the original poster was describing looked very familiar to me, but the film I recall seeing on Nick, and one that scared the s--t out of me, was a student work by one Mike Jittlov from 1970 entitled "Good Grief", involving a kid in bed trying to go to sleep and having this nightmare happen around him. Here's the film in question...
"Good Grief" (Mike Jittlov, 1970)

Though I'm sure I'm taking this far off-topic as it is, here's some other classic gems from my childhood to share too (much of which I recall from Nickelodeon or another channel on the dial). Enjoy a pointless trip down forgotten memory lane!

I thought this was debunked as a hoax already?

Kind of sounds like the Dayman play from Always Sunny
