Please tell me the 30's are better easier and less stressfull then the 20's?

While I have passed Gen education for collage but was trying to see how high I could go on math has I know math is something that helps you stand out and I would like to do something with like sports/math if I could.

Maybe you should talk to your advisor/counselor at your school and maybe go over what possible career paths you may have and what you would have to do to achieve it.

I'm 32 and I live in an apartment that I can't really afford, have held down a job for the past 10+ years that is okay but is going nowhere really and I'm thinking it's time for a big change. First job is to sell the apartment, move back in with my parents for a few months (they've already okayed it and I'll be paying them rent as well as doing my share of the cooking and cleaning), save some money and then quit my job and go travel for as long as I can make my money stretch. SE Asia, here I come. Thailand, Vietnam, The Philippines, Indonesia, e.t.c. Backpacking and doing temp jobs like bar work if I can while I'm there. I can't wait, I feel like my life will finally be starting.

I agree with so many in this thread. Age means nothing, only your own actions have the power to change your circumstances and improve yourself and your life.

You're going to have an awesome time! I was in Indonesia for a month. Beautiful country, but hard to get around. Fly if you have the money. Fancy bus if you have the time. Book ahead of time if you're on a tight schedule and avoid travelling around Ramadan.

Also, head to the Gili islands if you want some eye candy

Good for you, by the way. Travelling is the only thing that you'll spend money on that will make you richer.

I think travelling will help him find his way. Maybe he decides not to come back. Maybe he decides to move. Maybe there is someone that influences the rest of his life. That's the beauty of travelling. It can really open your eyes and your mind to things you would have never known before.

My advice is to move. Where he is and the way the job hunt is going sounds like it's not working. So, move. Being young, single, and childless is a beautiful thing. You can do whatever you want and go wherever you want. Start fresh somewhere else. Get involved in the community. Play a sport or join a hobby group. Network. Live.

Not saying that age makes things better by its self. Just saying that when you are young the stress and work trying to find a solid job can be hard to deal with and it takes time to actively find something or change something. Hoping that by 30s I will have stuff change can't force someone to give me a job can only put in the work and I have just no results yet.

Take the more proactive approach. Find what you love doing. Go to the areas doing that and simply be very blunt and honest. Ask if you could observe or even do things for free for a short period just to learn their particular process or environment. It's an easy way to make contacts where people get to know you and you're not simply a resume with no face. The worst response you could get is "no thanks" and you should expect it because it will make using this tactic easier. The main goal would not be to get a job but to make meaningful contacts with people who do things you like because you never know what opportunities it could lead to. People are more likely to remember you that way. If they say nope, simply say thanks for your time and move on to the next. Get to know more about the person rather than focused on the job you're looking for. Ask them their thoughts on whatever industry they're in. Their experiences. Start a conversation on it. You may make friends that way simply from common shared interests. It's more personal rather than an unknown person simply looking for a job. As I said, you never know where it may lead. Worth a shot.

I've already been to Thailand and it's honestly the most beautiful place I've ever seen, my own personal paradise. I'd never heard of the Gili Islands but I've just googled them and holy crap! Definitely adding them to the bucket list, thanks for that. t: I've been obsessed with travelling all over SE Asia since experiencing the wonder that is Thailand and I figure (like you say in your previous post) I'm young, single and childless. Once I sell my apartment I have nothing tying me here anymore. There is never going to be a better time to do this, so I need to bite the bullet and do it instead of just fantasizing about it and being full of regrets if I don't ever get around to it.

lol in highschool/middle school I would have said math has stuff like times tables up to 12/12 I new way before most kids and can do math really well in my head but algebra is just a whole different thing because when you just put letters into math it is like not really math and there are just way to many formulas to remember and the moment I don't use it for even a short time I like forget ever thing.

If money was a zero issue I would be going to sport games all the time has I love sports. Out side of sports and video games I don't know that much about like any thing.

Wow. Then I don't think any of us can help you. If you're not willing to change anything about your life, then you will be miserable in your 20s and 30s and 40s and so on. Travelling isn't about money, it's about experiences and learning about new places. Money isn't everything.

I know that there is poverty and I understand that sometimes people work multiple jobs to survive, but I also think that we have a society that overconsumes both in material objects and in houses and I think we're getting better at waiting until we're financially stable to have children, but there still needs to be more education on that.

Honestly, I think that the majority of us are not impoverished, we just spend more than we have. And we're not willing to make sacrifices to better our situation. Like moving. Or cutting down on spending.
