Anyone else believe that?

I don't. I don't cheat in school often, but sometimes I have to. Like if I'm really confused on a homework thing. Usually math or science. Sometimes other assignments don't make sense. I usually do it all on my own but like I said, I need answers sometimes. So usually friends help me out. I help them too.

How is it going to hurt you? Really, when are we going to use history in life, or science, or advanced math? Never. Unless you're going to get a job that has to do with that stuff.

I've asked tons of adults who have been through school if they have EVER used any of that stuff and they said no.
I've never cheated on a test or whatever. Usually it's just with homework. But not much though.

Anyway, do you believe that stuff? Do you think cheating is okay sometimes?

You especially need to do it when you have NO IDEA on how to do it at all and if you fail that assignment it will hurt you pretty bad.

...I use history everyday in my life. I always have to use from tomorrow to get through today.

And teachers get paid to teach. If you have a problem, such as comprehension... go to the damn teacher and ask for help.

You know what will happen when you get caught?

Principle: You're suspended/expelled for cheating!
You: Why?!
Principle: Because it's wrong!
You: But I didn't understand...
Princinple:... So why didn't you go to the teacher for help?
You: Because I'm teh stooped.

All tests are is everything you were supposed to be learning up to that point. You are hurting yourself if you cheat, but you're not if you cheat but later on learn the work. And stop complaining, just be a nice little ***** and sit through (high) school doing the courses necessary to move on in life.

once you start cheating, you start relying on it and you don't get to learn how smart or stupid you actually are. i've gotten 35% on a university exam worth 65%... you just ****ing deal with it.

Most teachers will help but it's not really all that helpful.

Really, I suck so bad in math. I'm not kidding. Actually, a few people in my family have big problems with it.
And my science teacher last year was really...mean. She actually hated me and kicked me out of the room for the dumbest things...:down

Like I said guys, I rarely cheat. It's just on some stuff. Not like the ENTIRE assignment, just a few questions. That's what I mean.

My fault, I forgot to mention that.:O

And another thing. I understand cheating every day and on every problem on the assignment is wrong. I get that. And I'd feel bad if I did that. I do get help from some teachers and it does work but most of them are too hard to deal with. So I just read the book and look up stuff.

That doesn't make it write.

...and see... I used 'write' improperly, because I cheated in life, and didn't learn the proper way. See, cheaters never prosper. Now I waste away my hours on SHH, trying to regain some semblance of intelligence. But now that I think about it... the hype should have been the last place I went for intelligence... :( :down

But...you knew you didn't use the word 'right' correctly.

So you cheated in life and you still saw your mistake.:p

...You cheat, willingly... what's the difference.

But I haven't cheated my way all through life. I said I rarely did it.:):p

I hear ya buddy, Ive devised schemes on how to cheat better, but since studying is an easier solution, I just do that. Especially since Im in grade 12, this is the only year that counts and Im going to make it count. Advanced math you may actually need, but not extremely advanced. For me, Im aiming at being an electrical engineer or something similar and I know that Ill need it for sure.

My cousin is 22 and has a hot girlfriend and he JUST bought a house. He also has a nice car (Eagle Talon). Hes an electrical engineer and basically has everything I want, but dont. And his hot girlfriend has a dead rich uncle that isnt letting her have any of the money until she is 25. So as soon as shes 25 theyre gonna be extremely rich and have a super easy life.

I hate how lifes easier for a lot of people.

I'm talking about Algebra and crap. When will you use that?

When I get older and stuff, I'm choosing between these.

Comic artist
Movie director
Actor

it's just a fact of life... anybody who's ever completed high school has had to go through it. doesn't matter whether or not you need it specifically.

Yeah, knowing that everyone else has suffered makes me feel better atleast.

I'm not being sarcastic or anything.

Cheating hurts you in the long run, because it prevents you from really getting to know the material because the material doesn't even register in the short-term memory to be processed into the long-term memory.

A lot of subject matter might not seem important, but there's a lot of cross-over in different subject matter. For example, a well grounded base in math will help you in Chemistry and Physics.

It's far better, long-term, to find strategies to learn the material than to try and cheat through it.

Exactly... math skills are logic skills. And you'll see algebra in your everyday life without even noticing it. It's just something you have to learn, even if it is painful.

You want useless? Try taking multivariable calculus and not being a scientist.

This woman I work with used to add the words to comic books. like SHAZAAM and BIFF. Then she got promoted to adding colors to the comics like Spiderman, Superman, she was in and out of different companies handing her different work all the time. She told me she got paid shlt all. So dont go into that. As for acting. There are many aspiring actors that make it nowhere. A lot. 70% never make it, Id say. Only what you see in movies are what people consider celebrities. So if you want to act, you have to become famous for doing something. Go join Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, get some camera time, and make your move. That's what Id do.
Also if you become famous and youre in a big budget movie, give all of your earnings to a charity. Thats what Id do for a movie. Id promote it that way, go to the movie means helping find a cure for cancer or AIDS or parkinsons or something who knows.

Oh yeah. I forgot to mention that when I spend a few hours studying for a test or something, I forget the stuff after a couple days. It doesn't stay in my head. I do well on the test but forget it later. That seems to happen with everyone I know. It's because we don't care enough about it.

I can remember that Spider-Man came out May 3, 2002 and that Green Goblin appeared in Amazing Spider-Man#14 but I can't remember 90% of the school stuff.:O

because you're cramming and storing it short-term memory... if you do all the homework every day and work through the steps without looking at the answers, it works its way into long term memory

The stats I've seen says 95% of actors cannot make a living at acting and only 1/1000 make the big dough.

That's because you have an interest in Spiderman and naturally repeatedly review your facts on that, but you don't want to do that with your school homework.
