Plot holes/poor storytelling discussion

By 'animal' apparently he meant Care Bear instead of Grizzly. :oldrazz:

i have said this a couple times as great as Hugh is at being the character he still doesn't fully know the character that he thinks he does.He still needs guidance and advice he said next film he will not be a producer which may be a good thing.

Also why did Remy assume the kids were safe getting into a helicopter with some random bald guy? For someone who has trust issues he sure didn't seem too bothered by that. "They're safe." Oh really? Are you sure about that, dumbass? I wouldn't want him babysitting my kids. "Some guy came by and picked up the kids. I think it was your ex-husband."
That scene has the Pedo bear stamp of approval.

Let's just face facts; Fox sucks at making prequels. It's like they completely ignore the movies the prequels are supposed blend into, and by doing so creating massive plot holes in the continuity. Just look at the Star Wars prequels...leia remembering her mother, but Luke not in the original, but neither one even seeing her in the prequels......etc...

I always thought Leia was talking about her adopted mother, not knowing she was adopted at the time. Of course I also thought Anakin’s mom was raped buy a Seth lord and had her mind erased after.

Well he dose like to manipulate peoples mind doesn’t he?

i wonder if any of them even read "Weapon X" before making this movie.. im disgusted with how much they changed that whole prodedure thing... there was no Dr Cornelius or nothin!! no training sequences wearing a thermo helmet and battery packs in the snowy mountains killing bears and wat not.. nada!! even his escape and massacre of security guards was left out... ugh!!!! and how come in x1-x2 when hes dreaming his memories of the procedure and u see all this military personell and dr's standing around celebrating and in the movie? nada!! WTF??? they shoulda spent a lil more time in that area of his life.. you know the sad thing is this movie was years in the making,,, it should have been waaaay better but instead it comes off as if they concieved and filmed it in a weekend! lol

Thought this was interesting:

It is stated that the only thing which will penetrate Logan's adamantium skeleton is an adamantium bullet. Following this logic, Logan's adamantium claws should cut through Deadpool's arm blades, or vice versa.
ohhhh no you didnt go there.
5 seconds before they jump in the thread and explain why its not the same.

the bullet was not the best explanation why he lost hes memory. Victor pushing him down the reactor would be better IMO. its a stupid idea but nto so stupid like a bullet.

yeah stryker even says in x2 you were always an animal

Actually he doesn't.

He says something like 'People don't change Wolverine, you were an animal then, you are animal now'.

That's because he doesn't want Wolverine embracing his humanity and going off with the X-Men to fight for a good cause, he is bitter about his 'failed experiment'.

You need to find a proper hobby! :hehe:

Yes, Addamantium cuts Addamantium, but that doesn't it cuts it like butter... normal steel bullets penetrate normal steel armor, but that doesn't mean two normal steel swords but each other as soon as they touch :)

I agree.

Kinberg and Penn claimed to be the biggest X-Men fans EVAH and look what they blessed us with. :whatever:

Hugh said he won't produce the next film?

what credentials does Hugh have to produce Wolverine?? obviously hes not respectful of the "MAIN" source material... lol but hes still a good at playing the role.. just needs better direction and stop makin him so Hollywood lol

A lot of actors get producer credit. It's a vanity thing and no big deal anymore. I think he was a producer on X3. He just hadn't formed Seed Productions at that point. Now his company's name is in the credits.

so how long before we get anouther X related title?? i hate waiting lol

That was mostly Lucas. I doubt Fox had any creative control over the prequels. They just distributed I believe.

One thing that did confuse me was how Wolverine got airsick in this, but not in the X-Men trilogy. I suppose air sickness can be a psychological thing and he lost it with his memories, but thats not the best explanation.

He was a nervous passenger in X1 and X2. Maybe not fullblown airsickness but definitely not a good flyer.

1. Logan did get airsick in X2. Watch the movie again. When Storm barrell rolls the Blackbird, Logan gets queezy, and after Pyro says "Please don't do that again", Logan states "I agree."

2. I'm not saying it was a great creative decision, because I don't think it is, but the problem with the adamantium bullet is not the fact that an adamantium bullet pierces his skull. It's in fact not inconsistent with adamantium blades that don't slice each other, as adamantium blades aren't coming at each other with the projected force of a bullet. There is a lot of force behind that bullet, coming from a freaking magnum. Also, all of the headshots that penetrated the skull were at point blank range. So it actually does make sense that an adamantium bullet with that much force behind it would penentrate the adamantium skull, especially from point blank range.

He wasnt airsick at all in X1, he only commented on Cyclops landing, and only after Cyclops said sorry. X2 he didnt enjoy the barrell role, but didnt get sick from it, nor did he get sick when the X-Jet was going down after being hit by the missile.

i think anyone would be a little woozy after a barrel role in the Black Bird :)

He was definitely made to seem uncomfortable with air travel in X1 and X2. And perhaps in Wolverine, he was as much uneasy about what he was about to do than he was about being in the air. I wouldn't think mutant healing factors cancel out feelings of apprehension - about more Team X killing and then about finally facing Stryker and whatever else was waiting for him on that island.

However, it has to be said that air sickness isn't a disease that the immune system would be involved with, it's to do with the nervous system sending mixed-up messages.

Also, we do have to remember that somehow - as i mentioned before - Deathstrike could be mind-controlled (and have a scar on her neck) when her healing power (which we saw) should have healed the scar and counteracted the mind-control serum.

So, it could be concluded that despite having advanced regeneration capabilities, they aren't 100 per cent 'immune' to every single illness or condition.

I saw no marks on Wolverine's claws or Deadpool's blades. If an adamantium bullet can penetrate a thick coating of adamantium over a skull, why can't Deadpool chop off one of Logan's arms or legs or even head? Didn't Stryker type <decapitate>? Why would he have typed that?

I think there's more power behind a gun that in Wolverine's arms. Maybe if he had Hulk strength or Quiksilver speed he could do that.

Maybe Stryker didn't know if Logan could be decapitated? He and Weapon XI were both experiments, no? Maybe cutting his neck down to the bone might have killed him?
