Plot Spoilers....Is this all real ?

I think it all sounds just fine except for the ...Gambit plane, and Xavier's appearance (both guiding Cyclops through the facility, and appearing outside).
Those things kinda bug me too. Especially the Gambit plane. It just seems a little weird for him to have his own plane.

^ I think that is very dark. I like that take that Benioff did.

Well I disagree. I would have preferred practically anything over that. Even something like Wolverine's healing factor repairing the trauma from all that happened or something like that. It just feels like the story was just trying to find an excuse to prepare everything for the X-Films with no real thought to it. Stryker has to survive and Logan has to forget. As long as those two things happened it doesn't matter how.

I am pretty sure the magic bullet will seem just as stupid to me on screen as it does on paper. And even if its not called that in the film thats what I'm going to refer to it as.

they gotta cut the magic bullet crap and have viktor slice his head or something because people are gonna be like well "his memory didn't erase when the cop from X2 shot him" there needs to be a rewrite for the magic bullet have someone slice his brain or something.

I agree but I doubt they're going to change it now. It sounds like it's gotten this far into production so it's probably going to stay. Hugh and Hood and everyone involved probably don't find any problem with it.

"Magic bullet? That is genius, Benioff! GENIUS!"

I read ages ago that it's some sort of adamantium-piercing bullet that gets through and causes the amnesia. Definitely different than the cop's bullet in X2.

I guess that kinda dampens that whole "indestructible" aspect of Adamanitum.

So does that mean Wolverine's adamantium skull has a hole in it?

And increases the stupidity that someone makes an adamantium piercing bullet to cause amnesia.

I always thought that Logan became Wolverine with amnesia from the procedure but why did they need to change it. Well, this way it makes it seem like Wolverine has a heart. Blah, blah, blah...and decides to free the other mutants and works better on film (atleast to the suits at Fox). I am not buying the magic bullet.

With Benioff's idea it seems that rather than the a magic bullet, perhaps he is just shot to the point of injury where he almost dies but slowly heals and everything is lost.

I really do prefer Logan suffering amnesia from the procedure. It makes more sense, and in the X2 flashbacks, you hear voices say "He'll have no memory".

Plus, Stryker's whole "I can make this all go away" speech from the trailers heavily implies the procedure will make his memories go away.

I would prefer Logan to volunteer for the procedure to make his memories all go away (the pain of losing his love, Silver Fox), and starts working for Stryker after the procedure. But certain truths become apparent to Logan, pieces get put back together, and he rebels against Stryker, frees the captive mutants, etc...

Maybe his memory slowly fades after he awakes from the procedure. Takes days as in his healing factor fights it. Like, in one of the trailers when Maverick says, "I think he heard you..." Like he still remembers.

I think it is cooler that way that he slowly forgets it all.

Doesn't he get shot in the head in X2 without consequence?

Yes, but that is with a standard bullet, not one designed to inflict damage to adamantium.

I like that idea.

His healing factor heals over bad memories...

That's all they need to say.

I remember an episode of X-Men Evolution where they surgically removed an evil microchip from Wolverine's brain that was implanted during the Weapon X procedure. I had no idea how they managed to get to it...

There was a line in the latest trailer where Logan says something about his choice being taken from him - maybe he did lose memories during the procedure after all?

I thought that was more in reference to Silver Fox.

I think the plan was to remove Wolverine's memory, or maybe make him to an animal with no thoughts. That's why Stryker tells him to become the animal. Wolverine breaks free before the procedure is complete in the script so it may be that removing his memory was the final part. Wolverine then breaks out and goes rampaging like a beast until he meets the Hudsons and they help him regain his sanity. Stryker then probably creates the bullet as a back up plan.

...is this movie actually trying to use the Wolverine / Deadpool fight as the cause of the Three Mile Island meltdown?

I know that's where this is supposed to take place - are they really going that route?

You make a lot of threads...short answer, we haven't seen the movie. Heck..there is a plot spoilers thread 4 below.

Adamantium was never technically indestructible. Wasn't carbonatium...or whatever Captain America's shield was made out of actually stronger than adamantium?

Might as well make an 'Ask a Question' thread like The Dark Knight, that was a tremendous success :hehe: :oldrazz:

Please don't make this place like the bat boards.

I don't think one of the reactors collapsed in three mile island. Plus Jackman said that there isn't a specific date this movie takes place in and putting the accident in the movie would obviously set it at a specific time.

I believe someone said that in an earlier draft the bullet Stryker uses to shoot Wolverine with is made of Carbonadium.

They worry about stuff flying over the casual fan's heads and they are going that route............................................

I'm sure they would explain it. I would hope they would explain it.
