This thread is for the discussion of police brutality and the use of force.

How far can cops go? What situations call for a beat down?

Look at whats big in the news right now. Cops firing 50 bullets at a car with unarmed men in it. Was there any need at all?

This is one situation that cannot, in any way shape or form, be twisted by the police. The police man here was out of order. Absolutely no question. And not only did the cowardly ******* hit a woman, but the irrisponsible idiot could have made a tense situation worse. He could have caused a riot situation.

I'm not sure what the background of this clip is. Some people in the comments are saying he ran from the police and deals drugs. Don't know where they got their information from. Still, the police have a responsibilty. They must abide by the law just like us. If the police beat up defenseless people they have already aprahended, what good are they?

Does power go to some policemen's heads? Do they get off on being aggressive? Do they feel like they can get away with unnecassery amounts of force?

Post any cool clips you have of police brutality.

Coming from someone who will be a cop in about 2 years, I think honestly a lot of them let it go to their heads.
Secondly, you wouldn't believe the amount of idiots I see in the NYPD. It's ****ing mind boggling.

It's not a tough job to get, and it has good benefits. So it's going to attract all types of folk.

It certainly keeps me entertained.

In the 2nd clip even the cop's partner knows that he's doing wrong. You can see him trying to stop him from hitting the guy.

What kind of training tests do you need to become a cop?

Not all cops deserve to have their powers, that's for sure.

There's a physical. Which isn't all that rigorous if you ask me. You need 2 years of college. And you need to pass an aptitude test. I don't know if theres a psych exam, but there should be.

Then they send you to the police academy with that guy who can make funny sounds with his hands.

I like that guy. Especially when he makes those crunchy leaf noises when people walk around.

Hopefully I'll advance quickly and get that coveted "detective" title.
Nassau County cops can make up to $100,000 with overtime their first year.

But I might be NYPD, not sure.

Yep.

It's funny, I know alot of guys who want to be cops.

Thing is, most of the reasons they want to be cops is because they want to beat on people:huh:

Even this stranight edge christian kid. And this giant druggie/alchohalic.

Most cops i've ever run into were *****ebags. I've had to deal with quite a bit mostly just because of my father.

To be a detective would be so cool.

Speaking of detectives, you guys knew I was on jury service right? Well...

The trial I eventually ended up on, the defendent was charged with aiding and abetting a burgulary. Several cops took the witness stand to go over the interviews they had with the defendent and stuff like that.

Well... they had nothing on the defendent. I'm serious, they really had no proof at all. Some background info. The defendent worked at a store that was next to an off licence. A gang tried to burgle the off licence by knocking a hole through a wall in the shop the defendent worked in. He says a few days before the burgulary he was approached by a gang who forced him into a car and put a gun to his head. He says they wanted his co-operation with a burgulary or they would hurt him and his family. The defendent says he has a drug debt from 10 years ago, so he thinks it's these guys. Anyway, a few nights later just like they said they rob the place and the defendent is left at the scene. He phones the police and tells them everything that happened. And he gets arrested?? Days upon days of interviews. NO forensics. Photos of the crime scene taken a YEAR later. The defendent gives them several leads, none of which were followed up on. There is only one thing - just one thing - the defendent lied about his mobile being stolen during the police interviews. When he is caught out in his lie he admits it, and says he didn't want the police to have it 'cause he didn't want it to lead to the guys 'cause he was **** scared of them. This is a parlamilitary group here!

How the heck did this even get to court?? We found him not guilty.

man, that "two gallants" **** sucks.
:( the officer acted like an idiot, and there's people in the messageboard defending the cop? what the hell?

One of my best friends is NYPD. There's a psyche test and if you are a hard tester, they'd fail you and you have to reapply.
