Good god, the overly sympathetic posts here make me want to puke. This little ***** assaulted two people and wasn't f**king hurt. She deserved every bit of this.
Her age and genitals have nothing to do with it, and if anything, the police are way too soft on criminals overall.
I agree when it comes to hard criminals. She's not a hard criminal. If it were a female cop I wouldn't have a problem though. The playing field would be even.
No, it's just that people catch cops doing with camera phones. People see just the cop getting the person and not the person committing the crime.
I'm with SuperFerret. Nothing about this was excessive and she deserved it. When you're a cop, you're always wary that the person might have a weapon. Even pulling someone over for speeding.
I remember a few months ago a guy was walking at some late hour, a cop pulled over to talk to him and the guy shot the cop.
You're such a bleeding heart.
Are you serious though? How are cops too soft, should they just go around beating everyone like Rodney King?
There's a penal system for a reason, police are there to enforce the law and bring people to justice, not brutalize them.
I'm sure she made it out with nothing more than lacerations and bruises, but with the way he hit her a bad landing might of made things quite a bit more serious.
Bleeding from the heart kills.
The Cop apolologists in this thread is why we are heading head first into a police state.
If a grown man has to use this much force on a 15 year old girl. Well I don't think he should be a cop. He should be doing desk work, or some non-physical activity. Cause he sure as hell isn't fit to be a cop.
Because a grown up crack head will just completely wreck his pu**y a**.
How isn't this excessive? Considering he could of easily ran up to her, grabbed her by the wrist jijitsu style, controlled and cuffed her and that would of been it, he's a big man, it would of been a cinch. So this is the very definition of excessive which is exceeding that which is usual, proper and necessary.

Would you of not felt a bit different had she fractured her skull and fallen into a life-threatening coma, or would it just be good riddance in your eyes?

Just think about it this way, if that becomes standard operating procedure when dealing with 90lbs 15 year old girls, just think of how they'll handle grown men.
No, it's not excessive. He just saw her get in a physical brawl with an older woman moments earlier. It's not like she was just caught shoplifting.
Since I don't know her, I don't care. She attacked people and would've deserved it, and I'm not budging on that point. It would be unfortunate for her had that happened, but she would have reaped what she'd sown.
Hopefully they'll treat any violent criminal the same regardless of their size or genitalia.

In my experience there are a lot of cops out there who are *****es who value the authority their badge affords them because they didn't have one to hide behind in high school or wherever they spent the really miserable years of their lives.
In my experience there are a lot of cops out there who are good natured and who help civilians they see who are in need of assistance despite appearances (I'm hispanic). So apparently what you see and what I see are vastly different and yet we both hold on to them as generalized truths.
Well blanket statements are never good.
Generally I'd say most people who are going to dedicate their lives, and risk their lives to become police officers aren't doing it because they are looking to get some payback. Well, not most Canadian cops I've encountered.
That said I've watched a lot of Cops on t.v. and there are an awful lot of obtuse power trippers and I'd hate to think how they act when they aren't followed by a camera crew.
I think it's partially the world we live in, we tend to think that there are a great deal of "bad' cops because that's what gets promoted and what we want to see. No one wants to watch a cop help a guy push his broken down truck to a gas station (as one cop did for me). Instead they'd rather see a cop beat the **** out of someone unjustly because as a society we love that kind of drama. There are obviously bad cops because they're human, just as there are bad garbage men and bad fast food workers. With any job there are going to be bad people, unfortunately with the police we are quicker to generalize the whole force rather than just blame the individuals.
