I don't think it mattered who played Lex if there going to screw up the character this bad. Even if we had Heisenberg instead of Eisenberg, if the actor is playing it over the top fughetaboudit.

But from the interviews and stuff it really seems like Jesse wanted to play it over the top, if Cranston read the same script it would've been a different performance

It's the performance Snyder wanted. We probably would've gotten the same thing with Cranston.

It's whatever though. Jesse just needs to tone it down for the next film.
