Soul stone will be in Captain Marvel, I think. Mar-Vell had those nanobands in the comic that allowed him to switch places with Rick Jones. I believe the soul stone will have a similar effect on Carol (binding 2 souls together or something like that), which would also explain her absence from the MCU since these events. Then whenever Thanos gets it or whatever, that will cause her to be freed.

There are 2 possibilities:

1 - Soul stone makes its first appearance in Infinity War, but gets further explanation in Captain Marvel

2 - Thanos has not gotten all the stones by the end of IW.

IW I would be shocked if it doesn't have an after the credits stinger for Captain Marvel.

Herb? Wonder if it was in the center of the Vibranium meteor that crashed in Wakanda. That could be what caused the plants to change. Minor Effects were carried to the Herb which allowed T'Challa to see the Souls of departed kings.

It was also Mentioned that the Director did not want to emntion it in in the Black Panther movie as not to take focus off of the Vibranium.

But my vote goes to: On a random planet Thanos destroys in the cold open, which serves to both expand the universe more than having another stone on earth would, and quickly establishing Thanos and the Black Orders badass bonafides

I think their taking the Power Stone from Xandar will be this scene.

I think the trailer gives it away that Thanos does not start out with the Soul Stone since his gauntlet only has the power & space stones.

If Marvel knew they would put Soul Stone in Wakanda or somewhere in Ragnarok , I think they would have hinted it since that's what they do.

Has marvel ever hinted specific stones would be in a movie? The audience only gets told about stones for the first time in Thor 2 IIRC and the only other movies to even mention the words "Infinity Stone" are GOTG 1& 2, AoU, & Dr. S IIRC

My money is on Wakanda; it likely came in on that meteorite that levelled the landscape with Vibranium and has something to do with the heart shaped herb. Seems odd that Thanos' army would otherwise target Wakanda if there wasn't something there that he (Thanos) wanted.

i'm hoping for a really surprising plot twist like it was in a different dimension after all, or it's with a hero that we've never seen before (not Adam Warlock cause his presence has been hinted here and there), or it was under a doorstep of very random suburban home (kidding but you get the point).

I feel like chunk of vibranium from space that grows herbs that make you see dead people is too much of a coincidence.

That being said I also think the tesseract, eye of agamotto, and soul stone all being on earth for the last thousand years is also a coincidence. Odin was a dumbass for hiding the space stone there but giving the reality stone to the collector.

Yep i agree with the possible connection of the herb with the stone.
