if they were to show a 5 minute prequal, i think they would show john jamison bringing it back to earth, but then again i think they would show the meteore one, im not sure which one.

I completely agree with 'hlbimage' on this one.


While I would absolutely love to see ANY sort of thing they want to show...I believe it all to be false. If Sony had actually text messaged this guy (no doubt he signed up for the "Text VENOM to get a pic of him" thing on Comic-Con Spidey 3 night, and now continuously gets updates like everyone else) then wouldn't all the thousands of others who did the same thing be getting the same message, and confirming this?!

Until I see proof...I refuse to believe it.

BTW, even if we were getting a new 'clip'...I hardly think it would be Venom. I mean really now! SONY has been trying to keep him hidden for a year and 1/2 now, so why the sudden reveal?! It's surely not because they know we ALL want to see him more than we want to do anything else. If anything new is shown, I would like to see something related to Harry Osborn/Angry Friend with Weapons, because not only does it seem he's getting the shaft more than Eddie Brock/Venom in this film, but because his freaking arc needs to go out with a bang! And, if they REALLY wanted to get my eyes popping out of my head....they need to show the ENTIRE scene of Parker ripping off his evil black suit...all 2 or 3 minutes of it. Because I think we all know that it's currently the most famous scene...other than TEH VENOM!!!11


Also, I believe someone mentioned that WB is keeping TDK so secret and SONY is spoiling SM3...that's because Warner Bros. is smart! TDK is their most anticipated movie no doubt, and same with SONY and SM3. But if SONY was smart...they would only show the theatrical trailer that they did just a week or two ago. And I can almost guarentee you all that we won't be seeing ANY footage of TDK until atleast July next year. (Teaser trailer with Harry Potter 5, and Comic-Con trailer...that hopefully gets leaked online) I would be completely suprised if we did.


This film is way too overhyped at this point in time, and with just under 6 months to go until it's release, they're cramming way too much into our brains. Yes, I want to see any new footage and the movie itself just as much as the next person, but it's a little sad.


If it is indeed true, then I will hope someone uploads it to YouTube. Because I, like a whole lot of others, will not be able to watch it tomorrow.

No, cause I got the same text message today as well. I would say around 1:00 pm or so. So I know he's not lying. I'm sure we aren't the only ones that got this. I believe it was the same code I typed in when I sent in the text for the Venom pic...er Eddie pic

When I got the text, I just looked at it as two things. One, them promoting that Spider-Man 2 is going to be on T.V. so everyone watches it. And the sneak peek, well honestly, I just think it's going to be the trailer again. I could be wrong. But that's just what it feels like to me.
