hell yah that's the one I want!
so you got it? how do you like it? what was your previous tv?
i heard somewhere that if you don't get one that's at least 55" you can't really tell a difference between 1080p. do you concur?
yep. that's the one I got a few months ago.
So far, I like it. It replaced a 40" Samsung HDtv that I got back in 2008.
And I can tell a difference. Everything looks sharper and crisper. And colors seem to pop more and are more vibrant. And that's even without turning on HDR. When you enable HDR with HDR content, it makes even more difference with the colors. Though, there have been a few instances where I felt HDR made the picture look worse and unnatural ( namely with Infamous Second Son ).
Of course, you have to be playing content through an upscaling device like a 4K player or the Pro.
The sound quality from the speakers was also a step up from my old 40" tv.
So, I'd say you'd be able to tell a difference with this 43" tv, especially coming from your current setup.
Will it be as big a difference as those 55" tvs? Probably not. But those larger sets also have the fancier 4K/Color tech in them. At the 40" range, and at that price point, there isn't as much selection. I felt this 43" Sony offered the best features for the best value. It also has 4 HDMI ports in the back plus legacy ports like Component/Composite. I found the larger, fancier sets tend to lack those legacy ports.
This was the review site that I used to make my decision.

It also has a calibration guide which I followed, though I made a few tweaks for my own taste.

If you decide to get this tv, let me know and I can send you my calibration settings as well as try to answer questions you may have.
For the price, I think you'll be quite pleased with this set.
