Since the season is almost over; with Season 2, are there any powers you would like to see new characters have or any powers that you hope they don't add to the show?

yes: electricity-related power

no: plasticman/mr. fantastic-type power

Yes: Self Duplication

No: Self Shrinking

ability to communicate with corn?

**too obscure?**

The hero with these powers can summon corn at will and manipulate it any way he wants like popcorn, tortillas, corn on the cob and even make ethanol.

Exactly what I wanna see.
I want the character to use static electricity, so he can fly or glide over the ground.

a Don't would be...Super Intelligence or Memory. Charlie did it perfect, and another character like that wouldn't be as good as her character.

Do's: force fields, molecular manipulation,
don'ts: elasticity

There are two powers I'd really like to see. One because it's just cool, and the other because it lends itself to a great antagonist:

The first is shapeshifting. Genuine shapeshifting. As in, his body can go all gooey and take on any shape he likes. Like the bad guy from Terminator 2. Best way they could explain it is by saying that his entire body is in fact a hive mind of single celled organisms. In essence, it would make whoever had this power the least human of all the Heroes, which might lend itself to some interesting character stuff. Plus, the versitility of the power could mean some very good fight sequences.

The second is the ability to later reality itself. Obviously quite powerful. However, as it would most likely also be quite complex, the Hero in question would most likely be limited by his or her ability to focus and comprahend certain concepts. In any event, I could imagine this ability having a great tole on someone's sanity. Especially if they add in something like the nature of the ability is that the Hero in question is able to see and is aware of the countless millions of quantum possibilities, picking and choosing which ones are real for him, and even exerting his will over them to alter reality for everyone else, making him something similar to the theoretical "Ultimate Observer." Might be interesting if he starts off on a loony bin before he realizes that he has powers and isn't just deeply schizophrenic. I also thought it could be cool if the Hero starts using his powers to give his fellow inmates a set of fairly eccentric super powers, and becoming a group akin to DC's "Brotherhood of Dada."

Cameo of The Spleen!

I'd settle for Parkman using his psychic powers in a more complicated manner.

I like to see someone with Juggernaut's power, just being unstoppable.

I wouldn't want to see reality altering powers, that would be just too much.

I love to see someone with electrical powers or speed abilities. Another power that should be explored is fire and energy based powers. Like energy blasts. Mind control powers should show up as well. I think the power to alter reality could work if you have someone who can heal people.

Yes: Self Duplication

I was thinking the same thing. I thought Multiple Man in X3 was badass, but he was only really used as a petty no-name criminal. If they brought a character like that into Heroes he/she would make for an excellent villain, as though the person wouldn't have powerful abilities of mass destruction, they could get in and out of extremely sticky situations and cause all sorts of havoc since they could "die" quite a few times throughout the season only to keep coming back. The only thing I see as a problem would be Nathan or Sylar obtaining this power and having their body doubles run amok.

As for a don't, the only thing I really hope they keep away from is anything involving aliens or physical mutations. The show is so increadible imo because of the down to earth, believable way these extraordinary abilities are portrayed. Having some alien come down or some dude morph into a cerberus would ruin it all.

Morphing into a horrid creature would be a bad idea, if it wasn't just an illusion, however i believe since the show is all revolving around evolution through mutation, some physical mutations would be inevitable. Considering how random the scale of powers goes, I don't see any reason why a human wouldn't physically be born with say, toughened (spine like) skin, or something that would naturally label them a freak.

I believe it was originally going to be Niki's power.

How about someone that can summon animals to do their bidding? They could be a nature lover, but can be all gothic/apocalyptic at the same time.

Someone amphibious would be neat. Super vision would be cool.

I definitely don't want to see someone who controls the weather... a little too obviously Storm.

Controlling weather is pretty bad. But maybe someone who controls an aspect of the weather, like generating wind, or being able to control water (thus being able to make it rain), or even static electricity, being able to cause lightning. Hrm....
