"CONSISTENTLY DAZZLING. INGENIOUS. BREATHTAKING."

- Michael Medved, NEW YORK POST

He must be Dead... if he isn't, somebody find his long lost parents/family!!!

"BIG. BOLD. LAVISH. OUTSTANDING VISUAL MISCHIEF."
- Janet Maslin, THE NEW YORK TIMES

All right, all right - i admit my statement may have been a bit harsh and strong... but lets face it, so was that reviewers'! - Plus it was also a joke with a jag!

I was seven, when i saw batman and robin so the nostalgia makes it very hard for me to sweep it under the carpet entirely. Michael Gough was the only good actor in this movie though.

While, in hindsight, i may not always agree with the look of the movie ascetically, the costumes are gorgeous, and the cinematograhy is powerful in scope and beauty. Wheter right or wrong... the guys that worked on that movie deserved their pay-check!!!

There you go, COMICFILMEXPERT, my honest opinion of the movie :woot:

I also love the look - very batman

how much do ya think joel payed Michael Medved to write that?

The film seems almost hysterical, nearly overcome with intensity and silliness. It is as much a parody of Batman movies as it is a movie about super heroes and super villains. By the time the film is over you could almost swear that heroism, villainy and comedy are all the same thing and maybe they are. It is an interesting ride. Schwarzenegger and Thurman are very effective in their roles as villains. The heroes aren't as interesting.

Not praise, per se, but an interesting thought.

Oh, and BATMAN N ROBIN TEHSUXORSSS!!!!1one

That reminds of whenver you have to avoid telling someone they are ugly...

"you have a great personality"

The movie is unfoirgivable. One of the worst ever.

By far Schwarzzenegger's and Thurman's worst acting piece. Annoying. Incredible how anyone, Schumacher or whoever, could have done this without noticing how bad they acted.

--------------------------

I'm Mister White Christmas
I'm Mister Snow
I'm Mister Icicle
I'm Mister Ten Below
Friends call me Snow Miser
What ever I touch
Turns to snow in my clutch
I'm too much!

[ Chorus: ]
He's Mister White Christmas
He's Mister Snow

[ Snow Miser: ]
That's right!

[ Chorus: ]
He's Mister Icicle
He's Mister Ten Below

[ Snow Miser: ]
Friends call me Snow Miser,
What ever I touch
Turns to snow in my clutch
[ Lyrics found at www.mp3lyrics.org/ks ]

[ Chorus: ]
He's too much!

[ Snow Miser: ]
I never want to see a day
That's over forty degrees
I'd rather have it thirty,
Twenty, ten, five
and let it
freeeeEEEEEEeeze!

[ Chorus: ]
He's Mister White Christmas
He's Mister Snow

[ Snow Miser: ]
That's right!

[ Chorus: ]
He's Mister Icicle
He's Mister Ten Below

[ Snow Miser: ]
Friends call me Snow Miser,
What ever I touch
Turns to snow in my clutch
...too much.

[ All: ]
Too Much!

^^^^ consider that my praising.

I don't think it would have made any difference in Arnie's case.

Um...okay...

-Michael Gough
-Arnold Schwarzenegger
-Arkham (though Jesse Ventura and his guard buddies were really pushing it into ridiculouslness)
-the Robin suit (even if it was actually Nightwing w/ a cape)
-the Red Bird
-Uma Thurman's rear end

That's really it. The rest of the thing is unforgivable.

Um... did you say Arnold Schwarzenegger???

Thats a praising aspect of B&R???

Er, yeah. Could you imagine the same movie with someone else as Freeze? It would be a billion times worse. The movie is stupid as hell and required a stupid as hell performance, which Arnold delivered in spades.

No one else could've pulled off those awful puns. He makes his scenes immensely watchable in their badness, whereas the rest of the film is pretty much unwatchable in its badness.

I miust disagree. Any guy from the street would have been more involved and funny that Arn. Even better, any mediocre actor would have put some effort.

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree. The guy does no wrong in my book. Just imagine all those puns without the Austrian accent. It would go from one of the worst movies of all time to one of the most boring movies of all time.

I agree.

Not when Mr. Schumacher tells you it's a cartoon and to specifically not put any effort into it.

he probably did like the film, everyone has their own opinion just like my opinion BB is to realistic to be batman film.

Batman and Robin was a joy to look at, but that's about it.

"B&R is THE cinematic acid trip of our time." <--- That would've been a more reasonable review.

Batman & Robin was for sure made for those who enjoyed the 60's series. I guess it was their turn for a movie lol.
It would have been awesome to know what Bob Kane thought of it. Did he ever go on record to talk about it?
