"CONSISTENTLY DAZZLING. INGENIOUS. BREATHTAKING."

He must be Dead... if he isn't, somebody find his long lost parents/family!!!
The film seems almost hysterical, nearly overcome with intensity and silliness. It is as much a parody of Batman movies as it is a movie about super heroes and super villains. By the time the film is over you could almost swear that heroism, villainy and comedy are all the same thing and maybe they are. It is an interesting ride. Schwarzenegger and Thurman are very effective in their roles as villains. The heroes aren't as interesting.

By far Schwarzzenegger's and Thurman's worst acting piece. Annoying. Incredible how anyone, Schumacher or whoever, could have done this without noticing how bad they acted.
I don't think it would have made any difference in Arnie's case.
Um... did you say Arnold Schwarzenegger???
Thats a praising aspect of B&R???
That reminds of whenver you have to avoid telling someone they are ugly...
"you have a great personality"
Er, yeah. Could you imagine the same movie with someone else as Freeze? It would be a billion times worse. The movie is stupid as hell and required a stupid as hell performance, which Arnold delivered in spades.
No one else could've pulled off those awful puns. He makes his scenes immensely watchable in their badness, whereas the rest of the film is pretty much unwatchable in its badness.
I miust disagree. Any guy from the street would have been more involved and funny that Arn. Even better, any mediocre actor would have put some effort.

Batman and Robin was a joy to look at, but that's about it.
