Program to create photo collage

Hey everyone.

So I've been using Irfanview and Picasa, well at least trying to and all I am trying to do is create a photo collage. Just take several photos that I have and create one big photo file out of it.

I don't need it to be fancy or anything like that. Just something simple.

Are there any programs out there that are easier to use that are free?

I've followed the help sections and directions for both but nothing seems to work.
