Ps3 help!

Last night I was forced to turn off my PS3 the inproper way by just flicking the switch in the back and not turing it off first on the screen. So today it turned back on and said that there was an error with hardrive and my only option was to rebute. Now it works fine but it wont let me play games or watch movies. Can anyone help? thank you.

thats what happened to my first PS3...but i got this one fixed finally. I had to reset the Defualt settings.

My PS3 won't let me access my Metal Gear Solid 3 save files, nor will it let me save the game when I play it.

Apparently PS had a bug last weekend and some of the effects were:
*not letting people sign in
*certain games won't load
but i'm not sure if that the bug or something else.

No I've had this problem for months now. Have absolutely no idea what's wrong.

you could always rebute it or call tech support.

Will I lose all of my save files if I reboot it? I busted my ass getting my 100% completions in MGS2 and MGS4.

I just did today by resetting to the defualt settings and i didn't lose anything. I just had to set up the basics again...like time, language, etc. but everything else was still there. Oh and some of my friends were deleted but nothing too serious.
