Resistance is not considered as good as Call of Duty 2, which was a launch title.

Did the Game Rankings that were posted not just show that, on average, Resistance scored higher marks than Call of Duty 2? You might not consider Resistance as good, but your consideration appears to go against the general consideration of the reviewers.

Secondly, how is Resistance that much different from Serious Sam? It's got the same kind of mindless run'n'gun gameplay with quirky weapons to it and doesn't have the tight close-quarter gunfights like Gears nor the open-ended flair (i.e, big environments+vehicles) of Far Cry or Halo.

Avg Ratio: 90%

Resistance: Fall of Man - PS3

Avg Ratio: 89%

Sure, it's just a 1% difference, but COD2 still got better reviews than Resistance and as such, was a better launch title according to the "general consideration of the reviewers".

Time has so many things wrong in that article.

1) Snakes on a Plane was recieved with really good critical and audience response, and being as the budget was only about 25 million, 35 million ain't bad.

2) O.J.'s book will get published by someone and probably make millions to boot.

3) PS3s are selling out everywhere they go. Can't be doing that bad.

4) Studio 60 may be starting slow but it is getting great responses from everyone who sees it. Seinfeld, The Office, My Name is Earl all started slow.

5) Bode Miller is currently ranked the 3rd top skiier in the world. He blew 5races and suddenly he is horrible? And they make finishing 5th or 6th in the Olympics sound bad, that is fifth or sixth out of 115 or so skiiers.

Real "Huge let down" of the year:

Time Magazine...they named their person of the year "You" for godsakes. Time Magazine editors, kill yourself.

Snakes was supposed to do much better it was released in the summer and expected to do very well. Sure it made money but opening weekend didn't even have full theatres. Monday all the articles were about what went wrong (waited too long for release is one) Time is right about Snakes, the box office was a let down.

Studio 60 had an excellent pilot. And hasn't been canceled this season only because NBC has invested so much money into it. It was getting Arrested Development season two numbers for a while Great episodes but its not living up the expectations ratings wise and has anything been better than the pilot? Hereos and Ugly Betty have taken the spotlight.

I don't know why OJ's book is listed, they were let down because it wasn't published?

PS3 is a let down because its expensive, very hard to find, not much of a game selection etc. Of course its going to sell out if you have millions of potential customers, its only reaching a fraction of those who want it. They mishandled the launch which is improving the sales of the X-Box 360.

Bode Miller, was a let down. This wasn't a horrible list, its just that Bode Miller was Mr.Hype going into Italy and left with horrible efforts. He was supposed to be a sure thing and earned no medals in various ways and his *****ebag persona got the attention.

by no means is Resistance flawless, by no means...and it's not a Game of the Year, but it is a damn good game, and the sh#t you guys have been flinging about it and the PS3 is just that.
