PS3 menu video...

They have a number of videos showing off the retail OS at E3 (I think you're showing the debug version), personally I think it's an awesome interface, it will work much better then most other made for TV interfaces, XMB rules.

meh.

i like it better than the ps2's, but it's nothing special. it's okay.

okay, man... i like Sony, too, but you really need to tone it down a notch (or 6)

there was really nothing special about that.

$10 says they'll redesign it after it gets negative feedback. Their new one will resemble the 360 menu, then they'll claim it was the design for the PS2 but had to decided to hold it back for the PS3.

Turns out that video is only a partial interface. I still thiinnk its going to be too simple. But Im not a fan of the PSP menu system anyway.

1. Sony had patents for the motion sensor being refreshed since like 1999.
2. Why do you think that the concept PS3 controller had handles?
(Not to say that they didn't put in the motion sensors as a response to wii and their patent fallout with immersion.
3. Most people seem to like the XMB interface
4. I can't see many people saying that the 360 interface is better, I mean it's like searching for an individual page in chapters of a book, much more management required to exploit its features, versus the easy to use a quickly acessable XMB.

It looks good. But Sony will most likely redesign it.

Let's see the patent

Handles? You mean the curved shape? I thought they were just trying something different instead of rehasing the same old, horrible dualshock.

Most people seem to like it? That sounds really convincing.

4. I can't see many people saying that the 360 interface is better, I mean it's like searching for an individual page in chapters of a book, much more management required to exploit its features, versus the easy to use a quickly acessable XMB.

The 360's interface is easy to navigate. You'd have to be deaf, dumb, and blind for it to be difficult.

most hilarious response ever.

Is this available anywhere else? My computer won't view it.

Spidey-Bat: I don't think Sony would lie about having the patent. It's a very easy thing for them to get caught out over.

I'd still like to see it rather than just keep hearing "they've had a patent."
