Does anyone know where I can read up on the possibility (or impossibility) of the PS3 obtaining a virus via the PSN?

I just got DSL (yes i know - i live in the woods and have only had access to dial up at my home since the dawn of time), and am looking to join the 21st century, and I just want to be 100% sure that I can't obtain a virus via online gaming, downloading new game content, etc. I don't plan on surfing the web with it.

So, if anyone knows where I could read technical information on the matter, that would be great (i've read enough posters on other boards simply saying "yes or no", so I'd like official information, if possible).

Thanks!

There is absoluty no way, ever, you can get virus if you play online and download from the PSN store. It is extremely unlikely to get anything if you surf the web as well. Viruses are primarily written for Windows and PS3 uses it's own OS.

Bottom line.
There are no articles on it, because a PS3 virus does not exist. So enjoy your gaming experience in peace.

Yeah, it's not going to happen. You can play online games and buy DLC from the PSN store without fear.

It could give you crabs. So, you know, be careful.

Another reason why the PS3 trump the PC, you can play the best games available and surf the web and not worry about getting ur identity jacked.
