This movie has possibly the oddest structure of any Hitchcock film. It's so unsettling.

The last shots of this movie, with Norman in the insane asylum, covered in the blanket and staring as his mother's voice resounds, is possibly my favourite ending to any movie ever (Except maybe Asphalt Jungle).

Some great shots in that movie as well

(done to death over the years now though :()

If I see that goddamned shower scene parodied ONE MORE TIME, I'll be forced to act it out.

Still a great sequence though.

You better not be talking about the remake

Psycho is a great movie.

The sequels and the '98 remake deserve to thrown in a black hole

One of the great American thrillers ever. Some of the most amazing camera wor ever, and it takes you into the mind of the antogonist like no other film in the history of cinema.

I've only seen the the third sequel (I believe it was a TV flick) and the 98 remake. And since the 1998 version is suppose to be a 'shot-by shot' remake, I've basically seen the original. Just with color and different actors :o.

The sequels were solid. Very entertaining.

The spin-off movie and TV shows were pretty horrible though.

Um, no. You haven't.

Unfortunately, I've only seen the remake, which I thought was pretty good (Vince Vaughn's actually pretty good at drama stuff).

The original is on my list of things to get, though.

Agreed.

Gus Van Sant may directed some good movies, however there is only one Hitchcock.

Only Hitchcock can direct a Hitchcock movie. He is one of the gods of the motion picture, and none can duplicate him

Why did they ever do sequels, they were so ridiculous. The plots were nearly the same except more violence, and you'd think people would stop staying at Bates Motel

Psycho 2 was a clever murder thriller and it had Robert Loggia, ROBERT LOGGIA FOR CHRISTSAKES!!!

Every actor is in a ****ty movie throughout their career

I think the Psycho sequels were actually some of the best sequels to a classic horror film. I dont really see how ridiculous they were.

The remake really needs to be burned. Seriously. It in no way shape or form anywhere as close to as good as the original..... which is really odd since its a shot for shot remake. Hitchcock's original is easily the greatest horror film ever. Nothing can touch it. Nothing.
