Pyramid Of Guitarists

Gets difficult to master, because everyone's got different software and/or platforms. Then there's the matter of agreeing on a style, etc. It's a cool idea, but I don't know that I have time for it, personally. :csad:

I know, but it would be cool, save it to windows media files, it could work, build it up stage by stage? Bass, drum, rythm, lead, harmonica etc. If anyone can be arsed....

All of us who play instruments should try to record and arrange stuff over the internet to make a SHH track? Weird thought, but why not! We should prob start with a bassline or something, anyone interested?
I wrote a song about Kainedamo and another about GoldenAgeHero, but now my computer's screwed up so I haven't even heard 'em for weeks.:down

total. burn-out.
I've been forming, and then dissolving great bands for....holy Jesus Christ....t...twe.....twenty years?!?

f***, lol

a little less than that!
Like,...18.5 years!

I can understand that. I'm not in a band at the moment for the same reasons. It does get old.

well if anyone can be arsed, we'd build it up instrument by instrument, ideally some sorta blues....

If you're going to do it, I'd stick with AIFF or WAV files, or MP3 at the very least. WMV is probably the worst file format you could pick for a project like that, IMHO. I don't know of any audio package worth a damn that will even recognize it.

As I'm a filmmaker, I'd be filming it, then extracting the audio, so it would probably be in a media file, i thought this would be best cause every comp has it!

But first we need to find people who can be arsed, anyone???

Wish I had time, as it'd be an interesting experiment, but...I can't be arsed. Heh!

How about just everyone just post some riffs?

could do, although, my harmonica is best as a lead over the top, i'm not as good as sonny boy willaimson, i can't captivate an audience with just a harmonica like that great legend can:(. I'll give it a try. I could always host the songs on my website if we need a place to host them?

cool, I'll have a listen some time when people here aren't trying to watch TV! Looking forward to it! (you should put it in your siggy!)

I don't want everyone on the Hype hitting it, which is why it isn't in my sig. :)

So, I had a chance to listen to those three tunes I found more in depth. Yeah, you can tell an a-hole keyboardist wrote and mixed those.

I liked "go for the jugular"

kinda like Faltermeyer via Oakenfold

Very cool

Oh, hey, thanks. I have fun dabbling with the electronica. I still get the urge once in awhile to restart my blues band, though, because singing on stage in front of a big crowd is a huge rush (and my heart's in the blues).

it made me thinik soundtrack to a cyber punk fight scene. Have you ever considered doing soundtrack work. It's what I'd love to do cause you don't have to put up with other people diluting your creative vision as you sometimes do in a band...:D

LOL! "Sometimes" is right. :D The complete creative autonomy is one of the things that attracted me to the electronica. I've had some fun doing some tracks for a performance artist friend down in L.A. and have been asked to score a couple of indie films that fell through. The funny part about the performance artist friend is that I have NO freakin' idea what she did with them as she only does her pieces ONCE and refuses to let them be filmed. She's totally about art as a living thing and that it shouldn't be recreated after it's been given life and such. Pretty interesting lady. Anyway, she asked for three specific pieces with specific themes and then said she wouldn't every use my music again because she felt that using more than three compositions from the same artist would stifle her creativity. LOL! Gotta love her.

well it depends on how big and scary you are compared to other band members. Do you think anyone in pantera ever disagreed with phil anselmo on anything. Christ before he joined they were a glam-rock band. Something tells me he had quite a big hand in that bands musical vision somehow...:cwink:

Well yep. She's definitely earned the title "Performance Artist" then. :D:up:
