Quentin Tarantino's The Hateful Eight

I don't think so. The whole film is Django learning to become his own hero. It's just the last 30 minutes is him applying everything he has learnt. From cooking up his own escape plan from the miners to him finishing off everyone at Candie Land. I especially liked the part where he found Schultz's body in the barn and saying auf wiedersehn. Nice touch and it shows how far he has come from being an uneducated slave.

Tarantino is now suing Gawker over the leak.

Good. Gawker and their subsites were being real jerks about the whole thing before they got a hold of the script, running multiple articles about Tarantino being "childish" as if he pissed in their cheerios personally, and then they outright published the script. Considering Tarantino has publicly stated his plans to publish the script before making the film (something he also considered for the Django Unchained script at one time) he can likely claim damages.

So it's a script where he probably stole 80% of its material from various obscure films from the 70's and passed it around Hollywood, and he's mad because some agent stole it and passed it around Hollywood? :hrt:

Actually, it seems Hateful Eight is more or less a remake of the Cut Throat Nine.

Both have a wintery setting, both show glorious mountains, both movies are about scumbags of the earth and whatnot.

That's pretty vague, none of which constitute a plot...

I can get deep into spoilers if you want me to.

1. Pulp Fiction
2. Reservoir Dogs
3. Django Unchained
4. Inglorious Basterds
5. Jackie Brown
6. Kill Bill
7. Kill Bill 2
8. Death Proof

I didn't read the leaked script for this... Instead, I did read the script for Inglorious Basterds. Still great. I have to see that damn movie again.

Just hearing about this script leak thing. That must be really frustrating. Never been much of a fan of these sites who act like scripts and other leaks are theirs to do with as they please. Hope he wins.

The crouching bearded man is the dairy farmer from Inglorious Basterds, yes?

The obvious ones: Kurt Russell, Tim Roth, Quentin Tarantino, Michael Masden, Bruce Dern, Sam Jackson, and Walton Goggins.

All of whom are :awesome:

Not sure, but I think the guy in the grey sweater is James Remar and the woman next to him is Amber Tamblyn (who can be currently seen on Two and a Half Men). And I know that the African American man leaning on the ground is a film critic who's name escapes me right now.

Yeah, that's definitely James Remar. Also, Zoe Bell is the blonde standing next to Tim Roth.

Also, "Hateful Eight" is such a great title for a Western. It sounds like they'll be the antithesis of the Magnificent Seven.

I thought that was Zoe Bell.

Now who's the guy in between Jackson and Goggins and the black woman between Russell and Bell?

Yea, Hateful Eight has a great ring to it. Just say it out loud... Hateful Eight. Awesome.

Yeah when he first announced the title I immediately thought of that. Especially knowing Tarantino, there is no way that's not a reference to the Magnificent Seven.

I actually hope he uses the leaked script as an excuse to change and improve the final product.

May turn out to be somwhat of a blessing in disguise?

Why? Was the original script bad?

Also, your avvy just made me realize that what this movie could use is some McConnaughey.

It wasn't bad, it was just leaked and Tarantino wasn't happy about it.
