is anybody having trouble with google? whenever i do a search, it gives me a page saying "... but your query looks similar to automated requests from a computer virus or spyware application. To protect our users, we can't process your request right now."

any help?

I'm not having any issues. What browser are you using?

firefox

does the same with IE. i have both a spyware and virus protection running on this computer

I have been getting that thru the Firefox quite a bit.
This most likely means, that google is getting hit with virus/spyware/malware/trojan/etc

So they are requiring a little bit of user interaction.
I have NOW - set firefox up to use Yahoo as my search engine.

good to know i'm not the only one getting this.

Yeah sure formatting your hard drive is the solution to everything. Its like saying to buy a new computer.

No it's not, you aren't spending any money at all. Back up the stuff you want to keep and then just do it.

The problem isn't with his computer. It's most likely with the google server.
