After the Reign Of The Supermen storyline and Superman coming back with Bon Jovi's hair how did Clark Kent explain his long hair?

And even when Superman went back to his shorter clean cut style and Clark suddenly sporting short hair didn't anybody at the Daily Planet get too suspicious?

I mean I know it's only comic book fantasy but c'mon lets be real hear and don't tell me that Superman magically memory wiped all his co-workers brains.

I don't quite remember if they brought it up. I assume they didn't really bother with it, since they had already to deal with the fact that Superman and Clark Kent returned from the dead about the same time, which was a bigger issue than the matching hair (though in all fairness, the current Supergirl had transformed to Clark Kent for the cameras, to throw off suspisions.)

Also, Clark still had the long hair when Superman was in his electric form, which hid his hair in the suit, so who knows?

So far as the world was concerned, Clark had survived below the rubble from the Doomsday battle for months, so longer hair was to be expected.

not at the same time, Clark was still missing until Superman found him buried in a bomb shelter, Supergirl used her shape shifting abilities to impersonate Clark

Personally, the long hair on Superman was just a bad idea ... and I have long hair.

The 90's were tough times for every superhero it seems.

-Hal Jordan going psycho
-Aquaman losing his hand and getting a fish hook
-Batman's back broken and Az-bats taking over
-Spider-Man's infamous clone saga
-Daredevil switching costumes for hockey pads
