Question about the Nightcrawler goof in X2

Was it intentional?

We don't know how his powers truly work in the movie universe... maybe an "imago" is formed wherever he is going to teleport?

I'm talking about the fact you see his "shadow" in the cage of the kids before he would teleport into it...

Anyway, his "shape" is barely noticeable, and they could digitally remove that in future blu-ray releases.
 
I imagine it's a simple mistake, probably footage filmed of him prior to him emerging from the shadows that initially frightens the kids. His image never appears before in any other part of the movie before he teleports, so with that logic it's a simple continuity error.

Yeah. They should fix that for the next blu-ray releases.
 
Considering it hasn't been fixed yet, I doubt it'll be in any future releases. X2 isn't on such a large scale that they would likely want to bother going back to fix something that minor. Simply it is what it is.
