Just re-read the first issue (sorry if this has been addressed already)...

So the leader guy is supposed to have played Tony Stark/Iron Man on tv a long time ago. Um...how? Iron Man had a secret ID for the longest time.

Good catch RockSP. Didn't even think about that. I guess if I were trying to explain it away, I would say that the producers thought it would make dramatic sense for IM to actually be his own boss in disguise, since they would have to create some kind of identity for him anyway. It might be funny if Tony even sued the show for doing it that way!

Probably they had the actor play both people, not necessarily the same character.

I don't remember, but was it specifically laid out the Henry Hellrung played Tony Stark as Iron Man? You could do a show with Iron Man and Tony Stark without the two being one and the same.

As TheCorpulent1 said once, even good books have continuity F-up's.

It is possible that this thing was filmed during one of the many times Tony seemingly exposed his identity. Granted, when he was doing his "demon in a bottle" thing, his ID as Iron Man was secret.

Granted, realistically, I am sure some people might have theorized who Iron Man was long before ID reveals. He was always there at the right time for Tony. Kind of like how Spider-Man is always there to save people involved with Peter Parker or something. :p

I'm just saying that they probably had him play both. It's not super uncommon for shows that use costumes to do junk like that so they don't have to pay more actors than what they need.

I think they were saying that the actor hismelf was an alchoholic.

That too. The story stated that Harry played Tony/Iron Man and became an alcoholic, and ironically, so was Tony. Just Harry went to AA and got over it sooner, and was Tony's sponsor.

well this was certainly a f*** up. however, one way to explain it away is that henry played tony stark on tv, then once tony revealed his identity to the public for civil war, everyone started saying he played iron man since they are one and the same. pretty simple really.

good catch that can easily be cleared up.
Either way i enjoyed the 1st issue. It was a great way to introduce the team leader while giving him depth we dont usually see in the 1st issue of a new series.

Which is a nice little retcon. Those are the kinds I don't mind; the ones that don't ignore something previously stated or shown.

Or ultimately alter the story line in some craptacular way. ^

And you get the No-Prize.

Or he would, if they didn't show him in the IM armor.

The answer is fairly simple. They just had one guy play TWO characters.

I'd say it's a bit of both. He played both Stark and Iron Man rather than him playing Stark as Iron Man. And the statements he said on the talk show happened after the fact.

So, since I combined the two ideas, I get the no-Prize. It's pretty too. Red and yellow and brown and blue and purple with stars on it. Awesome.

That's what I said the FIRST time, probably on the FIRST page.

That's nice....but guess who has the No-Prize? That's right, the Notorious G.O.D. Compare your lives to mine and then Kill yourselves!

That's a nice combo. ;)
