Questions about Orion/ general Orion thread

Hello ladies and gents. I dont read DC comics much these days but I've been looking to get back into em. Before i do however i had a few questions, many of which pertain to the character Orion.

Now I loved this character but i coulda swore that he died. However I did a little digging (granted it was very little) and it seems that he aint dead.
According to Wikipedia as well as four other sites i found as a result of google searches his current status is active which comes as a big surprise to me.

Is it true? Is the New Genesis Dog of War alive and kicking? If so is he getting any kind of screen time in the DCU? Is he a member of any current team or part of any ongoing title?

Basically anything you guys can tell me about Orion'd be appreciated. Cause if I do come back to DC he'll be a big part of the reason.

He was still alive as far as I recall. The last place I remember seeing him was in JLA, right around the transition from Morrison to Waid. He was portrayed abominably in there, though. He was made out to be a monosyllabic idiot and he seemed even weaker than Superman, which is an unspeakable sin for a guy who could throw down with Darkseid before the Crisis on Infinite Earths, when Darkseid was still inconceivably powerful.
