R-rated movies: Is anyone actually against them?

There are a surprising amount of idiots with this mindset with videogames. They don't wanna play "kid" games. All they wanna play is shoot 'em ups because thats "adult".

Hollywood has basically raped the PG-13 that Spielberg lobbied for back in the day...it was supposed to be something where people could go see some decent sexual situations, violence and profanity without it being overboard. Now they use it to water down a lot of flicks, which is unfortunate. PG-13 is more or less the "comic book" rating. It's got mature situations, but the stuff is just goofy enough that younger kids can watch it.

I have no problem with PG or PG-13 ratings, but what I really can't stand is an R rated film that gets neutered by studio executives after the fact to get more kiddies in the cinema. Die Hard 4 is a good example of this. That should have been an R rated film, period.

I'm a Christian who owns and loves alot of R-rated movies. (Yeah, you read that right. Even the vulgar comedies.)

I'm Christian aswell, my family aswell, and that doesn't stop us from watching R-rated stuff. Actually, what people think of Christians is just stereotype *****, not everybody's like the Christians they (I make fun of such people, too ) make fun of.

I don't think being Christian means you have to deprieve yourself of stuff. My entire family is Christian, even if I don't hit church all that often, and I partake in many a worldly pleasure.

I'll agree here. The Matrix movies could've easily been PG-13 with very minor edits.

You see, I'm very picky about some movies, like some horror movies. I recently watched Halloween{the original| and didn't like it. However, I do believe it is stupid to judge a movie based on it's rating.


I don't have any problem with people not watching R rated movies. That's their belief and I'm not going to force my opinion on them.
