Yes, actually I have friends exactly like that. All the time my friends call black people '******s', asians 'chankers', and hispanics 'spics'. It annoys the hell out of me, because A) when I'm around them it makes me look like a racist, B) I personally hate when people use those terms to degrade someone else. (I can see it being funny or acceptable if you say '***** please' as a joke or if you see a white guy saying it to one of their black friends)

Not to mention, everyone around here is obsessed with country music. I hate having to listen to that redneck trash-athon. Then again, I'm one of those typical, crazy heavy metal white guys.

But I hate it when people fufill a stereotype. My father's family is from Bermuda and they have awful opinions of Americans. "Fat, lazy, loud, littering, and all around obnoixious." It's not so much an racist thing as much as it is an ethnic one. Black, White and Native people on both sides have similiar opinions.

My American family thinks that British people, and Bermudians are "uppity, full of ****," basically what was portyaed on the Family Guy.

Every demographic on the planet has stupid stereotypes and morons ready and willing to step up to shoulder the image.

Y'know whats funny though Warhammer?? Its the fact that yeah, those people at that table were all obnoxious and "ghetto" and just plain idiots but at the same time those guys can jump in their mommy's car and head back to the suburbs because all they are is a bunch of wanna-bes that see that stuff in some (not ALL) rap videos and think being loud and flashy and "ghetto" is the thing to be. Now, yeah, there's people that're from the "ghetto" that are that way. But I knew guys from the projects that were intelligent and wanted to bypass all the nonsense that most of the other ones embraced. And at the same time you have these wanna-bes that just "wanna be down" and act that way just to try and fit in to what the think is cool. Saw it in school big time. Even knew this one guy grew up in the 'burbs that just constantly tryed to be a hardcore rapper when the guy was just lying on the mic about stuff he's never experienced or lived. Downright pathetic if you ask me. And I'm not saying that because you're from the burbs or rich you can't rap. If you can flip rhymes and such then its all good but its when your only basis to rap is to be cool and to spew nothin' but lies its pathetic.

Now, I don't know if those guys were truly from the projects or bad neuighborhood but just from experience it can be either A) truly ignorant fools from the projects not giving a **** and proving it by being obnoxious and loud or B) just your run of the mill wanna-be burb kids that think its the coolest thing ever to be obnoxious and loud because they wanna emulate the "ghetto" way of being.

Yeah, I get everything y'all are talking about. I'm about as white as they come and I can't stand how other white people treat minorities. Don't let anyone fool you, it's not just indiginous in the south (not to degrade the south. I love it and most of my family is from there, but not all Southerners are Rednecks). I can name about 20 people at my school who's skin crawls because they have to be in the same place as blacks, Asians and gays. And I know at least 2 who will openly use the 'N' word. It's rather embassasing to be grouped in to that...

I'll explain what I mean by racial disgrace.

Earlier tonight, I went to Ruby Tuesday. I sit next to a big table full of some of the ghettoist, straight hood people I've seen in a while. This is coming from a half black person, so don't call me a racist. Anyways, they made loud noises, talked so loud that everyone can hear them, they cursed, they said n**** 12889046 times, and one of them was wearing his hood in the restaurant. There was 8 of them, and they didn't even give the waiter $1 for tip. They were making a huge fuss out of the bill, thought it was wrong, and each of them pulled their cell phones out and used the calculator to see if they got cheated. One even called her mom to come and pay the bill for them. The other waiters were pretty pissed and their waiter was my waiter, so I gave him extra tip.

As a black person, I was like "What the hell? If you're going to act like that, do it in private."

Does anyone feel this way when your respective race does something that is outrageous/embarrasing?

I totally agree. It makes NO sense why people act like that.

Being in Texas and near a university (UTMB) I had a very wide mix of people of different cultures and races in my classes. I'm hispanic myself but I had friends whose parents were Asian or European. Whether it be Japanese or Chinese or Korean or German or French or Italian or Indian or whatever it seemed we had somebody from somewhere other than America. Even the hispanic people weren't always Mexican. I knew people from Nicaragua and Venezuela and Puerto Rico. I mean, it was just a rainbow of us kids. And for the most part growing up you don't pay that s*** any mind. Then you hit high school and its like everything changes. There's the "groups" that form like the snobby kids (no, not snobby white kids because there were a few black and asian kids who were in the same group that looked down on others who were as well off as the others). Then the groups all go here and there and its just weird how you could be friend's with someone growing up in elemenatry and stuff and then how people become so conceited and full of themselves. I honestly couldn't care less, I was kinda like a tweener because I got along with many.

Its just funny to me how far people would go to be cool.

Well, being Chinese I know a lot of things that we do that are embarassing. We are the biggest tight arses next to Indians (no offense to any Indians reading this). Our worlds revolve around money. Things like marriage don't happen cause you love another person, but because the other party has plenty of money. Kids don't happen cause you want kids, they happen cause Chinese people like to use them as trophies to dangle in front of family and friends.

The Scots are the world champions at being tight. We know how to split pennies down the centre to create two of them.

I would say what pisses me off about young white males is that they are responsible for most gas-n-go's. At least 90% of them, from my experience, are committed by this particular demographic and almost any gas jockey can probably confirm this.
