"Search for a Hero" continues as Robin tries to save one young boy from drowning in the tidal wave of gang warfare drenching a newly anarchic Gotham City. But why does Ragman not want the boy to be saved? And why is Spoiler paying a visit to the General?

I wanted to use this as a jumping point to ask a question really. I've been a huge fan of Ragman since I first read the original volumes and even though Shadowpact didn't do his character justice I loved that run as well.

I know that Ragman is from Gotham. I know that he's worked with Robin before (OMAC). What I don't know is why we don't see the Bat books bringing him in as a character more often.

So what do you guys think? Is Ragman awesome or what?

I liek the pre-crisis version more than post-crisis but he is an enjoyable character. The one thing I found interesting about the post-crisis incarnation is the whole "soul patch" angle it provided a nice twist to the practicality of superhero costumes. But yeah I think Gotham based characters like Ragman and The Creeper should be used more often in the bat books.

I like the post-crisis version as much as the pre-crisis version. The DoV version was okay at the beginning (The first DoV issue was narrated by Ragman, that was good) but the rest slacked off a bit and as much as I loved Shadowpact I think it got cancelled before any really great stuff could be done with the character.

Cain - I definately agree on The Creeper showing up more often. It seems like alot of those characters were really solid but just never seemed to go much anywhere.
