Will the last Thor movie, like the 3rd, involve Ragnorok and the death of the Norse Gods? I know Thor will also be in the Avengers but do you think that the last film will see Thor die?

As I stated in another thread:

They could introduce Balder to build the Ragnarok story arc, writing Thor out of Avengers 2 after three movies to reintroduce him a decade later in a film based on JMS's Gaimanesque run.

I feel Marvel will leave out the Hulk and Thor the next time they make an Avengers movie, to avoid overcrowding when adding in new superheroes like Ant-Man and Black Panther.

I hope they use the ragnarok as a background like with ultimate thor since that would make sence for why in the legends Loki did some bad deeds while in the filmverse this only happened in the modern times, but they could make a kind of Ragnarok in a sequel.

No Thor in the Avengers 2?

*Hank Hill voice*...Oh God no!!!

I doubt that... Hemsworth is signed on for 3 Avengers films.

Even if they choose to do a Ragnarok storyline, they can always bring them back. I mean just look at the comics books. Of course what would Tom Hiddleston think knowing that they'd have to cast a woman in his role.

I disagree, these are two of the staples and need to remain otherwise they are going to lose the mainstream audience. I have been speaking with the owner of a local shop as of late and he agrees with me. There is no way you can take out the staples of the group. I found this place by looking at these online reviews and it ended up I had a great comic book store to chill at just blocks away, now the owner is a great friend, it's crazy. Do you guys ever browse angies list for online reviews?

Well, RDJ might not sign on for a second Avengers movie so that would free up a space.

RDJ, Hemsworth and Evans all signed a 6 picture deal. 3 solo movies and 3 avengers movies. After that, its anybody's guess as to what may happen as far as them reprising their respective roles. Of all of them though, I think RDJ would stick around the longest, though I'm hoping we get all 3 of them in the mcu for as long as they are able.

I could see hulk leaving the avengers after A1 (sort of how he only lasted one issue in the comics as a real avenger) and then have his tv series take place in the weeks/months after avengers events. that way at the very least it would leave room for references to banner/hulk galore, and the possibility of a return in a future avenger film or an appearance in another movie since it would still be in the same universe..

I also think the TV series could be a good lead into another Hulk movie. You'd have the TV format lay all the groundwork for a theatrical release tied into the series, and all that. There are endless possibilities and scenarios. Here's hoping for the best.

sorry for the side track - back to thor - i could see the wrecking crew being a thor foe. Might not be the most attractive choice but still an option.

I think Ragnarok should be like Thanos, maybe like the end-all, be all, so if they want to do more than just the 3 I'd like to see seeds laid throughout the thor films that eventually grow into ragnarok into one major epic to finish off the thor series of movies. imo
