Ranking the Superman films 1978 to contemporary

Sorry for bumping this thread, but after watching Superman II the other day, I felt the need to rank as well.

1) Superman The Movie
2) Superman II (both Lester and Donner Cut; Frank Reynolds Edit keeps me satisfied if I want a mix of both)
3) Superman Returns
4) Man of Steel
5) BVS
6) Superman III
7) Superman IV

Interesting choices, I would say that JL Superman feels more like Superman than BvS Superman - as for MoS I felt it deserved props for having the balls to depart from what had gone before, in some ways that was great, and in others not so good - but full marks for effort.

JL Superman certainly feels a bit more like Superman from the AoS animated series, tough but a bit more lighthearted.

I feel like the dialogue and direction for Cavill and Adams was terrible in JL ( I mean Amy is one of the best actresses out there, and she was kind of dull)
this bugged me because they could have been one of the highlights of the film (and I thought they had some good moments in MoS).

I feel like the stuff from MoS that was good has been forgotten, while the stuff it did poorly has been emphasized.....oh well, roll on MoS 2 and JL 2 !
