How do we know it's Ratchet?? I mean I speculated that it could be Ratchet or Hot Spot, in another thread when this pic 1st hit the web. ( http://www.superherohype.com/forums/showthread.php?t=245802 3rd post on the thread)Has it been confirmed??

And people are mostly assuming that its Ratchet since its a search and rescue vehicle being used in the TF movie, and Ratchet was going to be a search and rescue vehicle.

Using that logic we wouldn't have Bonecrusher either.

I doubt its Hot Spot though. Though Bay has screwed up pretty much everything aside from the casting of Peter Cullen, I think he would manage to keep a fire truck a fire truck. They said right at the beginning that Ratchet would be a S&R vehicle.

But I have no qualms with the truck in that pic. I'd even bet that the big white ting on the door is covering an Autobot emblem.

He's the minelayer. There were a bunch of pics that showed off a crazy bulldog logo with the name on there.

Ive been reading up on TF movie news And I havent heard any conformations on any TFs besides Optimus Megatron and starscream i thought the rest was speculation

people need to really get over this whole color change issue ... I, for one, am glad they are updating them for the big screen version. I think somethings would not translate well from the small screen.

I agree. They are almost as unrealistic as red firetrucks.

Where I live, I see very few white ambulances anymore. They are various colors. Some even have the colorchrome paint scheme where it changes color depending on where you stand to view it....

Well, you cant please everyone .... but people need to realize that this is not the 80's anymore. White ambulances and red semi's are boring and would be bland in the theatres. They are just trying to bring the characters into the now ... I see no reasons why these changes won't work. I am so amazed at how people are so against change.

They won't be once they turn into giant robots and start kicking the **** out of each other. The vehicles should look very mundane. The whole point is robots in disguise.
