Well most of us know that Target will be receiving exclusive G1 Repaint's of Movie Starscream and Jazz this September. However, on the Hasbro site each figure has a bio description explaining these new colours.

Jazz's one is particularly interesting...

During the long process of being rebuilt by AUTOBOT RATCHET, there was a lot of time to think. AUTOBOT JAZZ digs his Earth vehicle form, but the silver paint job had always left something to be desired. It got scratched too easily, for one thing, and dust stuck to it like cyberflies on old oil. Also, it wasn't nearly eye-catching enough. Just because he's supposed to be in disguise doesn't mean he can't be noticed. With help from BUMBLEBEE and AUTOBOT RATCHET, he picked this color scheme as the one most likely to get him appreciative looks from all the humans he passes on the freeway.

and Starscream's is as follows:

Sole survivor of the catastrophic battle that destroyed the other DECEPTICONS, STARSCREAM fled into the vast and cloudy skies of Earth, away from the searching eyes of the AUTOBOTS. His alien skin totally transparent to the primitive sensing technologies of humanity's armies, it was easy for him to find a place to hide. Altering his exterior was a simple matter, and made it even easier to hide from his enemies. With MEGATRON gone, and the AllSpark lost, he waits, and plots, and plans for a future in which he rises at the head of a mighty DECEPTICON army to reclaim all that his former leader lost.

Will we be seeing Jazz rebuilt in future sequels and Starscream changing his colour scheme now that the military know his F-22 colours? Will the films use these story ideas or is it simply speculation made up by Hasbro for the new products?

I for one think it would be sweet if they implemented this into the future film!

What do you guys think?

Check it out for yourselves on the Hasbro Transformers site, and click the headline.

That would be pretty cool if they change them up a little for the sequel. Do you have pics of the new colored versions?

[BLACKOUT]I don't think so, Jazz is dead, this is just an unrelated concept based on the movie character.[/BLACKOUT]

They could always retcon it lol. Yeah, since [blackout] Jazz does die, [/blackout] they should just leave it at that.

I would bet there will be at least 3 movies after this one.

It would be cool to see these story ideas implemented in a future film, especially the Starscream one, but Jazz......:(

That is the thing about transformers. You could make 50 if you wanted. The humans changing have little or no bearing.

I think most people would be sick of transformers after 50 :whatever:

OMG i hope its true for JAZZ, i was so heart broken with what megatron did to him, i hope he's brought back, hes one of my favourite, i pray that in the next few weeks they announce the next roster, or at least on the dvd release it has a deleted scene, *PRAY* *PRAY* lol

Well there's more of a possibility of him being rebuilt now than there was before. I know Hasbro may have just made that story up to suit the new figure, but it's still possible. Do any of you actually think Megatron is really dead too?

I don't think so.

So yeah, I think it's possible we'll be seeing our jive-talkin' friend again.

I sure hope Jazz will be in Transformers 2. I love that guy but he hardly got any screen time.

Compared to Starscream he had the lead role! lol

lol what do you mean by that? I also really like how Jazz was the only one who cared about bumblebee everyone else was so lazy, optimus was like, its too late hes gone lets forget about it. I also thought the way he reacted to jazz's death was kinda pathetic, he was more upset over megatron's. No matter, Jazz was still in the film and that made me happy, id just be really happy knowing theirs a deleted scene that will be on the dvd with his revival or a confirmation he will return then i would be satisfied.

I mean Starscream had like 1 english line of dialogue, but Jazz spoke a bit more and we actually got a feel of his character.

and YES I agree how Optimus reacted to Jazz's death was pathetic! It reminded me of when the class baby chick died in kindergarten and the teacher held it up for everyone to see. Optimus just held Jazz's torso up like a broken toy, lol.

As much as I would love Jazz to return in G1 colours, I think the sequels are better off bringing in new Autobots, for the simple reason that too many Transformers in a movie are probably not a good idea. So might as well use future movies to bring in guys like Mirage, Hound and Wheeljack. God just thinking of those names in the sequels makes me jump like a kid on Christmas morning.

Thank you Spielberg for thinking this movie is a great idea.

How did you all want Prime to react to the death of Jazz? He said he was a great fighter and would be missed.

Whay else do you want from Prime?

What is this deleted scene people are talking about?

It's not what Prime said, he said an honorable thing about Jazz, its how he said it, its just their was barely any emotion in his tone of voice, it didnt feel like he cared that much, and im kinda dissapointed that there was a better tone towards megatron's death. and to also quote ervann, it would make sense to try to return Jazz, its kinda of a waste to all the time they spent designing the guy and creating him, im sure if they have to save money they might retouch up on some characters who supposedly die, i mean the decepticons in the film can be easily revived for the next film, we see their remains as a good sign of possible events, anything is potential, isn't it vector sigma from the cartoon show what is used to create transformers as well? that can easily be part of the next plot.

Actually my point was that it would be better to introduce other new Autobots. Since Jazz is gone, let him be. Bringing him back, while cool, could result in too many Transformers (assuming new ones are introduced) and lack of focus. I think Bay wanted more robots but Spielberg told him to keep the number low so that the story and characterisation are focused. I say just keep the mainstay of Prime, Ironhide, BB and Ratchet. Next one to go could be Ironhide (which would be heartbreaking...)

Yes, I think Jazz is done.

But which new autobots will replace him in TF2?

I think the SS one makes sense, but the Jazz scenerio is reaching a little bit.
