Rate and discuss the new layout

Thought it would be better to have a dedicated thread for the new layout instead of just embedded in the lounge.

Please list out any tips or hints to help others navigate through this strange new world.

Personally, I don’t hate it. But the mobile version could use a lot of improvement. As for the desktop version, I wish the user names were back to the left hand side instead of above each post.

I know people are working hard on this but I have to speak my mind, I really don’t like it, preferred the old forum

I'm gonna get used to it but the previous look was perfect so I find this to be an unnecessary change

It was a necessary change though. The old forums were running on antiquated software and lacked a lot of the new capabilities of this software. There are still bugs to work out but after that this place will look and feel a lot nicer. The look is mainly the issue people have which is something they are still working on.

This isn't my first forum upgrade so I'm used to the jarring changes. Going from UBB to UBB 2, 3, 4, etc to vBulletin (2, 3...) to Xenforo and a half dozen different types, I've seen it all. You'll get used to this one. Just takes time.

Agreed. Or at least there should be a color difference between the avatar field and the message field. It just looks like a bunch of.... white space

I'll have to get used to it, but I love the inclusion of a like button. That was one thing I always wished this forum had.

I do miss the ability to go straight to the bottom post on the mobile version.

I like the overall cleaner look.

There’s a small icon to the right of the forum header you have to expand. It’s not every intuitive that’s for sure.

This is a bug, I've reported it.

On the Xenforo skin it is blue and black laid over off white.

I'd rather have the usernames on the left side of posts, like the old layout. Having the usernames above is just a bunch of empty space between each post, which makes reading through a topic unintuitive.
