-In the Ultimate comics Gwen is a bad girl, punk rock type.
-In the Ultimate comics Max Dillon is not a lowly Oscorp Employee.
-In the Ultimate comics Curt Connors doesn't work for Oscorp and his Lizard form has a giant fin on it's back
-In the Ultimate comics Captain Stacy gets blown up by a Spidey impersonator.
-In the Ultimate comics Gwen is killed by Carnage.

I could go on and on...

Yes, aspects of it certainly seem to be derived from the Ultimate series, but you said: this whole movie series is based off the ultimate comics thats why.

As far as the Electro costume- if they wanted to make it work, they could've. The myriad of faithful superhero adaptations out there have already proven that.
I always tell people its just a mix of Ultimate and Amazing. Also, it has a lot of aspects from With Great Power. I don't mind them using some aspects of the Ultimate series, but I don't won't Peter to die. I love him to much as a character. He is so relatable for me and reminds so much of myself. 'm not dissing Myles, I just love Peter.

His suit looks like Raiden's from MGS4/Rising.

Ultimate + TSSM.

Looks awesome except for the stupid thing on his head.

The costume looks like it may have been developed by Dillon himself to contain and control his electricity. He added his own super-villain flair with the thunderbolts, but those screws look like they've been jammed into his body. However, it does look pretty high tech and expensive, so I wouldn't be surprised if when/if Dillon threatens Norman Osborn, Osborn makes him an offer to give him all he needs to defeat Spider-man. I might actually prefer that scenario.

I just feel meh about the thing on his head. Webb added last minute anyway, so I highly doubt we'll notice in the movie. Who knows, it might turn out actually looking good. One thing for sure though, Electro is going to look sick in 3d

Aww...You tried to make a joke. Adorable.
Yup :oldrazz: It was much more funnier in my head but for some reason it didn't work on paper :woot: Well you can always give me some new material with bashing a most accurate comicbook movie ever, i am still opened to redeem myself for bad joke.

The main reason I like this design is because I want the lightning/electricity to be blue/purple like real lightning. And because of all Spidey's green-costumed villains Electro is one of the ones who doesn't have to be green. Thus adding some contrast to Lizard, Green Goblin and Vulture (possibly Ock, Sandman and Mysterio as well).

I'm fully on board with the design.

I love this weird and pervasive attitude that any sort of critique is seen as "bashing". That's such a black & white way of thinking...

I'm not "bashing" this movie. Like I said on the last page, we're all fans of this character and want the best Spidey movie possible- but when you see weird/lame "creative choices" and unnecessary changes being made, it feels like a let down, you know? There are things I like about this series as well as dislike-It's important to be critical and not just lap up whatever is thrown at you.

FYI, this is in no way the most "accurate" comic book movie ever.

I dig the look of the suit. As for his skin, this is definitely a case where photos don't do it justice. The skin effects are definitely going to look better in motion.

Reminds me of this

well not exactly, as i said before you can't put classic suit on ultimate electro  you will make him look like the rainbow... they choosed going one route ultimate and they made him look like ultimate electro so i can't argue is it nice (it's not decorating of flowers "maybe a little green or yellow would be better...). What is important it's accurate to route they sticked. I respect that.

They did not choose going classic route. Casting a white man first, then giving him green-yellow suit with mask. Jamie Foxx is not wearing green and yellow suit in ASM2 because he is not playing classic Electro as he wouldn't have be painted in blue... I dont know what you expected when you saw Jamie Fox's Electro set scenes? To wear a classic costume? :whatever:

More and more I'm glad they didn't make his costume green. Make every primary villain in the series (not to mention Raimi's series) green would be absurd.

Green Goblin, Doc Ock (trenchcoat), New Goblin, Sandman, Lizard, Electro and Green Goblin again?

Oh boy... even if green is your favorite color that would get nauseating.

8/10
I/m fine with his looks.

The best thing I've read so far about this awful look...

"Oh, it's Doctor Manhattan's crack addicted brother, Lower Manhattan."

Devote fanboys reaction aside, general audiences are mocking this look all over movie pages everywhere.

The look won´t be good for everyone, maybe in action they will aprove it, remember the first ASM suit, but i could be wrong,anyway....

In those pics,Electro's left ear is melted, but his right ear isn't.I wish both ears looked the same.

"this is a villain with electricity, but he has too much electricity. so, i don't know, he may want to wear a voltmeter."

Green Goblin's costume was green. The purple tint was a wink to the fans.

Here, Electro wears blue and gray armour. Exactly how he's never been depicted before. How's the lighting gonna change that?

Really? Never?
