Ray Fisher is CYBORG!

I'd like to see Stone in that football scene that was filmed. He is injured and left paralyzed and near death and his dad tried to save him....that would be cool

There was a football scene filmed. But that was before this casting...

Hal Jordan is just a superior character when compared to John Stewart. I'm glad we're getting a black superhero in this that isn't a 2nd rate version of a white hero

I'm sorry but Justice League the cartoon made Stewart one of my favorites. And as we have all seen the right director and writer can make or break ANY character.

Doubt we'll be getting Jon Stewart now. Get ready for a Hal Jordan recast.

With Affleck and Eisenberg being cast, I wouldn't put it past WB if they got Ryan Reynolds back as Hal just to get people talking again. (Most likely not, but it could be cheaper exercising RR's sequel clause than signing on another actor.)

The internet would NOT be happy though.

It would be nice if the JL featured as many of the original group as possible. Why I am willing to wait on my beloved Wally. :csad:

Geoff Johns says Hi, and no way jose!
Prepare for barry(just like on the tv show he's helping to write). I heard he had a producer credit on this film. Barry and Hal it is.

Even if Jessie Paul as West is the clear win.

I like Ryan. He is an actor that really gives off a fun aura. He'd fit perfectly with the GL from Justice League War.

Even though his association with the character carries a very bad smell, I don't think I'd be livid if he was brought back. It's happened before that actors have played the same role in a somewhat different continuity. Cage in Ghost Rider 2, Dench in Casino Royale and to a lesser extent Thomas Jane in the Laundry Day short. As long as they don't reference anything from the 2011 film, then it could potentially work.

Reynolds after all wasn't really the one at fault for that mess.

I honestly don't think I've liked Ryan Renolds in anything. Although everything I've seen him in was meh at best. I mean, I don't dislike him as an actor but he's never really stood out to me.

Yeah, I know what is coming and I have accepted it. If it means Hal, then I am for it. But Wally would be perfect for breaking the tension.

The only DC character the Rock should play is Black Adam. I would consider it an insult if he wasn't even given first priority if they ever use the character.

I was putting powder in my hand to give you a pimp smack due to your shenanigans in the Equalizer thread, but you have now redeemed yourself.

^26 years old.

He should be able to play either a college level or pro football player.

In the new 52 story justice league volume 1, cyborg is a detroit high school football player. ford vs mumford, both of which are real high schools. not surprising since geoff johns wrote the story.

And I don't see any of the current actors adding any levity. Did I use that word right?

Eh Maybe is actually trying to take credit for the scoop just because he first mentioned in February that a young black actor might have a role in this film.

Okay, then.. lol

"Told you guys CYBORG would be in Batman vs Superman...congrats @krolljvar on the scoop score!"

ugh. He would do that.

Just be happy the Justice League has a black guy in the active team. If we get John Stewart it'd be awesome and personally I think the right call as it formally cuts ties with the awful 2011 film.

The Avenger's Nick Fury is basically regulated to the steretypical angry police chief role. Though that said his role in Cap 2 was excellent. That car chase was awesome.

It would be awesome to have Stewart and I agree about cutting ties with that other film. Just like with SR for MOS, that's baggage this movie doesn't need. The role of GL needs to be recast no matter what color the actor is.

I liked Fury better in Cap 2 as well and I agree about the car chase. That was one of the best parts of the movie.

I actually don't mind either way. In the words of Michael Jackson. It don't matter if GL's black or white.

Stewart or Jordan, I just wanna see Green Lantern given another shot.

Don't forget those amazing universe-building life changing cutting edge two minute end credit scenes that every comic book universe needs or it will be a failure.

I'm getting f***ng sick of those post-credit stingers. Save for like three, most of them don't add anything to the movie. And I'd wish Marvel Studios would stop this, or at least save them unless they actually add to the story.

I know some movies have been doing it sporadically, way before Jerry Bruckheimer, Marvel, and Pixar jumping on the bandwagon... but it's ridiculous. I wouldn't sit through Aliens' end credits to hear the aliens skittering around or Vader's breathing in TPM's end credits.

When's Zack Snyder going to make a statement? He's done so for the castings so far?

Yeah, I'm hoping that's how it goes. Lex creates Metallo with Corben, who becomes a threat, then STAR Labs takes over the project and creates Cyborg.

I guess they could also somehow shoe-in Steel/John Henry Irons then?

Didn't RR say he'd only return if the script was like, mindblowingly good?

Nope. It's there thing. If they cut them from the movie far more people would be upset. The scenes are not considered part of the movies and thats why critics never judge the scenes. They are just there for fun.

That makes no sense. Johns loves Wally. He was one of the two defining writers Wally's volume of the book. DiDio/other higher ups are the ones that shelved Wally's back-up for Johns' Flash book and didn't allow him in the New 52 until this week. Hell, technically Grant Morrison is the one who brought Barry back to life in the first place.

How do we know he wasn't cast MONTHS ago and they just now decided to announce it now?

WB didn't announce it, Variety did. Which makes me think his role is a cameo that WB was never even going to tell us about.
