That's the thing about a universe, it's all exists already and always has. The stars, Venus and Mars. Just sitting up there, chilling out. We're going to see the DC stars (Supe, Bat, WW) together in one film, because they exist already. Pretty straightforward, right?

It just sounds like WB is going the franchise route with Justice League, which would put it more in-line with the likes of Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, and other world-building franchises.

Frankly, it wouldn't surprise me if they forgo solo films from this point on.

That makes sense. There will be Superman and Batman films, but outside of that I expect the JL, with the potential for WW, Flash and GL films expanding out of JL.

Agreed. Solo movies will most definitely come after JL. As long as there's a WW film, Flash film, and JL film, I'd say WB is alright.

I've always felt this was a team up movie leading into Justice League

There is more than one way to build an universe. I know I keep going back to this, but Avengers was watched by over 25M more people than who watched any of the precursor movies.

The spectacle of the team-up got people to show up and then they spun off from that success.

I still don't think it is. I think it is a setup. The prologue or prelude if you will. I think most of these appearance will be cameos.

As soon as BvS was announced the first thing I thought was the film would end with Superman above Earth and Batman on his computer, searching for others like them. Cyborg could be the first. The one they save from Lex.

Ideally for who? That is two big, legit scripts that need to be done. That is so much pre-production. How do you make all these characters, their looks and their abilities work. I'd be worried about what happens with most of these kind of projects.

Exactly what I'm thinking. It would pretty much explain all the "setbacks" that have postponed the film into 2016.

That's what I mean that this is pretty much a Justice League movie. I think they already have the Justice League portion (Part 2) written out and thus the assembly of all these characters.

You don't get a renowned up and coming theater actor for a cameo appearance for a tentative film. WB should (and I hope they are) filming both of these films back to back.

It would explain the almost clear schedule for the main cast involved with this film (s).
