Ray Fisher is CYBORG!

I still don't think it is. I think it is a setup. The prologue or prelude if you will. I think most of these appearance will be cameos.

As soon as BvS was announced the first thing I thought was the film would end with Superman above Earth and Batman on his computer, searching for others like them. Cyborg could be the first. The one they save from Lex.

Since I was hoping the first JL movie dealt with time travel and a destroyed future, was hoping it would end with a time traveler coming to either Batman or Superman with a message, Darkseid is coming.

Who still honestly believes this isn't a Justice League movie anymore? Something also tells me this will be a two parter. Just my two cents on the whole matter.

Well it isn't sounding like much of a Superman film anymore aside from the Eisenberg casting. At this point my reaction is kinda whatever . I just hope the film is good.

Exactly what I'm thinking. It would pretty much explain all the "setbacks" that have postponed the film into 2016.

That's what I mean that this is pretty much a Justice League movie. I think they already have the Justice League portion (Part 2) written out and thus the assembly of all these characters.

You don't get a renowned up and coming theater actor for a cameo appearance for a tentative film. WB should (and I hope they are) filming both of these films back to back.

It would explain the almost clear schedule for the main cast involved with this film (s).
How massive of an undertaking is that? That would be like filming two Star Wars or two Avengers films together. The amount of pre-production alone. It would have disaster written all over it.

They managed to do it with the Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit (yes, I know how you feel about those).

it was never a solo Superman movie...this should have clued you in to that

It is :awesome:.

For the record, being nothing but unrelentingly negative while having absolutely no facts to go on is being negative just for the sake of it. That's not perspective.
Stop being optimistic and reasonable. We already know the facts with BvS. In 2016 it will hang from the neck until death.

Yes, but think of how long the pre-production was on those films. And that wasn't the bringing together of such different worlds and characters.

Ideally for who? That is two big, legit scripts that need to be done. That is so much pre-production. How do you make all these characters, their looks and their abilities work. I'd be worried about what happens with most of these kind of projects.

The only problem is that apparently they're still working on the B vs S script. But its not impossible to have two major films produced back to back. If LOTR and the first two Superman films did it, surely WB could've as well.

Optimism and rationality are not allowed on the BVS boards.

To be fair that doesn't mean anything. We could still be looking at a film where the Justice League or Batman's arrival is told from the perspective of Clark Kent/Superman. It's not like Batman's inclusion is now suddenly Batman's movie etc.

Yup. I mean, with the work they're putting in now, I'd be surprised if there's a three year wait between this film and JL.

Frankly, it wouldn't surprise me if they forgo solo films from this point on.

That would suck, so bad if they went that way. So many characters have such interesting universes all to their own, so to have them overcrowded with one cameo after another to connect everything would not good and hurt the story aspect.

The Hobbit has been a disaster imo. Hunger Games is yet to be seen, but at least the have the book to follow. Thus they already have a structure and story laid out for them. The LotR took 18 months to film. This has more potential of being the Pirate sequels or the Matrix sequels.

Not sure how I feel about this casting just yet. I'm still stupid excited about BvS though, and if the rumors are true that BvS is being shot back to back with a Justice League film, then I really have no issues.

One forum member (forgot his name) says that his friend who's working on the movie said the production was running from May to December... that's without a second-unit crew, mind you. Now imagine trying to do two films within that 7 month window... all first-unit. That's not going to happen unless you're a fast shooter, and Snyder isn't one of them.

But if WB is doing these films back-to-back, they're doing a damn good job of keeping it secret. My guess is that Snyder will start prepping for JL during post-production on this one, and start shooting JL for a summer 2017 release a few months after BvS hits theaters.

They've had plenty of pre-production time.
You'd have to believe the idea from the beginning was BvS and JL. Meaning they started writing them in 2012. Otherwise this has rush job written all over it imo. And that is the last thing I want. I believe BvS. I think they had that on the cards for a while.

pretty much sums up the facebook reaction to this.

The word from WB was that this was MOS 2, meaning a Superman film albeit with Batman also being featured . But you're right its not a Superman film, and its looking less like its a Batman and Superman film, its looking like JLA. So we agree, it doesn't look like a Superman film.

I agree with all of this.

I can definitely see this happening.

Oh and the forum member on here is KalMart.

This is the first superhero of color announced for either of the DC or Marvel universes.

Who would have thought that Cyborg of all heroes would be the first to make it to screen among John Stewart, Black Panther and Luke Cage.

What about Rhodey and Falcon?

superman/batman: public enemies had featured a lot of other dc superheroes and yet it is still considered a superman/batman story.
