Ray Fisher is CYBORG!

Wow, very excited to have a little bit of news haha. And thrilled to have Cyborg join this film. I JUST HOPE THAT THEY MAKE HIM VERY VERY DIFFERENT THAN IRON MAN ..personality, abilities ect..

Honestly, while it's doubtful we'll see Victor Stone's transformation into Cyborg in this (that would make it more than a minor part imho) I can't wait to see how they handle the CGI for Cyborg. I'm thinking a combination of Iron Man and Transformers which would be incredible to see.

And if Snyder is in charge of bringing Cyborg to life I'm sure he would redesign him in such a way to make him a character as cool looking as Iron Man. Cyborg could become a fan favorite if his CGI and action scenes are handled correctly.

For all we know, His role could be similar to Agent 13/Sharon Carter's in TWS. He's in the movie for all of five minutes basically just to set him up to become a bigger character down the road. In fact, I think that that's what will end up happening.

It seems that some of the people who are telling others not to freak out or be negative are freaking out just as much as those they wish would shut their pie holes.

Very, very true.

I like the casting. He is a pretty big dude.

Talk about looking the part? Snyder is good, but he outdid himself with this one. As far as looks, that IS Victor Stone in all his glory.

How tall is he? I like the idea of Superman being the shortest of the male JL members. :D

He does look the part and it's neat that they picked a stage actor.

Totally unexpected news. Very cool though. :) He really looks the part.

They shouldn't have hired him as Cyborg. Just have him still play Ali so we can have this...

Very OT Star Wars like casting. Stage actors or lesser known film actors.

Sometimes, I feel that's best for these types of parts. It's easier to see an actor as a certain superhero if you don't have a strong impression of how the actor comes off in real life or other roles. That was part of my initial reluctance to accept Affleck. He was just so...Affleck. While I have come around to him more now, I initially worried I'd see Affleck and not batman.

Love this news, the casting looks to be on the money for Cyborg. I'm one of those people that absolutely love to see heroes exist in each others universes so I don't have a single problem with this. And there's so many different ways of just introducing him in a cameo just to establish him without taking anything away from Superman and Batman. The over-reaction cracks me up.

Oh man this is getting exciting. Another JLer and another JLer that I want. Now we have some real evidence DC want to go beyond the big 2 eventually and likely towards a full on JL. Give me the big 5, Cyborg and Martian Manhunter even if it's 10+ years away and I'll take 10 tickets right now! :woot:

This is really the most confirmation we've gotten (if you needed any) that DC is fully intent on bringing the Justice League to life.

Could this film end on a cliffhanger that leads directly into the Justice League movie? That is, of course, if JL is planned that early.

I agree, if Snyder has anything to do with it (he has to) Cyborg is gna look like a scaryass/transformer/terminator/beast. Im Glad

...it never ends.
How do you like the idea of cyborg being the tallest?
I can't find his height anywhere but he seems to always be the tallest person in the room.

I'm guessing 6'4 or 6'3 minimum.

Woo! News finally!

Looks the part and has a theatre background just like Christopher Reeve before 78 Superman.

Honestly I'd rather have a movie that introduces the league than a movie that's mainly about Batman fighting Superman. That fight should only be a scene like Iron Man v Thor in Avengers. A bit of fan service.

I'm hoping they start him out as the luthor funded starlabs metallo project. Good old two birds with one 'stone'.

If it's does have a cliff hanger it will surely include a darkseid like stinger.

Exactly. In these roles you don't want to see the actor, but the character and sometimes it is hard to do that with certain actors. That is why my intiate gut reaction wasn't great with Affleck or Eisenberg, but I have gotten over that.

Though sometimes it is hell for an actor as well. They can't escape the character.

Funny, he was apparently one of the guys JJ Abrams was looking at for a role in Episode7.
He was apparently up for the lead.

Yeah, I'm excited to see Snyder bring Cyborg to life for sure. There aren't many others I'd want to.
