Ray Fisher is CYBORG!

Call me crazy, but my favorite look for Cyborg is actually the Flashpoint version. I just prefer his robotics to be bulkier.

I wouldn't be surprised if his initial cyborg look is modeled closely to Zod's discarded Kryptonian armor that Lex most likely confiscated at the Lexcorp construction site that Zod had left it at.

I hope not. I want Lex to build it into his powersuit. :)

Wow, that's a really good point. Never considered that the armor could've been taken. Maybe he'd also use it to build this:

I'm pretty sure the Variety article stipulates Fisher's role to be a very minor role (i.e. simple cameo).

And the movie is far from being crowded. Cap 2 has Cap, BW, Falcon, WS, Redford, Agent 13, Maria Hill, Fury, Pre-Crossbones and [BLACKOUT]friggin' Zola as an AI[/BLACKOUT]... Yet the movie isn't crowded at all.

That worked because Captain worked for SHIELD and all of those characters also worked at SHIELD so it integrated well. Aslo we were already familiar with BW, Maria hill and Fury so they didn't have to explain those characters at all. WW, Batman and Cyborg aren't really related at all. Also if they bring in Green Lantern or the Flash like some people are saying they will, they will have a bunch of un related characters taking up space. I just hope they integrate these characters in a good way that makes it flow and not just like the are shoe horning them in.

In new 52, he started off with bulkier tech then got a slimmer look.

I've been wondering the same thing. I mean sure the gap doesn't affect performance at all, but i'm not going to pretend he doesn't look better without it.

Hoping for no gap in the movie, though I'm not quite sure which is real or not.
I've only seen a few gap pics and it looks weird enough to be fake, but the gapless ones make him come across completely differently and look real.

Or maybe it's just that I want them to be.

I wonder if it's just a cameo with the football game establishing his existence but not actually being in the suit. Otherwise bring on RoboBorg lol

I think they'll use him kind of how they used flash in gl, he's a side character that gets an origin by the end of the story. Maybe they use parts from a beaten metallo on him or something.

As I said in the other thread, I have nothing against the actor, but this appears to be a JL begins type scenario. I wanted a Superman/Batman story, so I'm a bit disappointed.

me too

A JL prologue and a Superman/Batman story don't have to be mutually exclusive. Given the proper narrative structure, both stories can be accomplished. I would wait and see what happens before disappointment creeps into your mind.

I'd like a more bulky look than a sleek Iron Man style.

I think the opposite. In the movies, Iron Man's armor is bulkier because it's something he wears. Cyborg's tech is actually part of his body so I think the sleeker look is more distinct.

Honestly I think we should just be happy that we're getting an honest to god dc universe that isn't animated and that it's being made by a damn good director. That being said, I hope I'm not left feeling like I felt at the end of the fellowship of the ring, "come back next year and find out what happens next". Too much time developing characters will do that. I'd say a good 10 mins for each character can get the job done and leave time for them to solve a conflict.

Cyborg (and Aquaman + the other supposed appearances) will likely be on screen for way less than 10 minutes. THR says it is one scene, Latino-Review said the role only shoots for a couple of days, and Badass Digest said the supposed Aquaman appearance is a cameo.

Lol Zach Snyder and good director in the same sentence. :huh:

(I'm teasing mostly, I think Goyer was at fault for most of the problems I had with MOS adn they got rid of him)

I sort agree with you. I'm expecting some great design as the IMO best so far JL: Doom Cyborg.

Agreed. Every movie has a ton of characters, but here's a comparison between the new characters and the ones who aren't returning from MOS:

Zod = Lex
Faora = Callan Mulvey's character
Hamilton = Alfred
Hardy = Holly Hunter's character
Carrie Farris = Tao Okamato's character
Jonathan Kent = WW
Jax Ur = Vic Stone
Jor El = Batman
Lara = ...Dick Grayson?
Swanwick =....Waller?
Non = ...Aquaman?
Drunk trucker guy =....Hal Jordan?
Priest = Barry Allen?

I think Swanwick should return. maybe as a military advisor at star labs.

I don't know how I missed this news. I'm delighted- I think Cyborg is a great character, and he has certainly been one of the better elements of the lamentable "New" 52.

Welcome aboard :up:

Someone posted some clips of this guy in some behind the scenes stuff for a stage production where he's playing Muhammad Ali. Definitely looks the part and seems to have the acting ability to make it work.

Guessing they will put Victor Stone into a role similar to John Irons in the Superman mythology. Not a cameo, but not an important role by any stretch.

If there's any aspect of "technology" to this film, which we all know there likely will be, it makes perfect sense to include him as they build toward a DC film universe.

I'm wondering now if they'll really integrate Brainiac at some point in relation to his origin.
