And the Fantastic Four sequel is called...
Posted by Clint Morris on June 5, 2006
Does the sequel to "Fantastic Four" sequel have a title?

Looks like it.

As of today, it seems to be "Fantastic Four : The Next Chapter", according to a Fox Australia Media Schedule, dispatched to local film hounds this morning.

Interesting. Not bad. Hmmm. Effective enough, I guess.

The sequel, which reunites the cast of the original (Jessica Alba, Ioan Gruffudd, Michael Chiklis and Chris Evans), will see the Fantastic foursome discover that there are other people out there like them - i.e with super powers - one of them being, the Silver Surfer. Tim Story returns as director.

Thanks to 'Burke'

Makes sense cause F42 or Fantastic 4 2 just looks stupid.

Moviehole reports that the Fantastic Four might just have gotten a subtitle:

What do you guys think?

I figured it would be something like Fantastic Four II, but ok...

F42!?!??!

OMG, I've missed 41 of em?? :(

It just sounds funny to say Fantastic Four 2. I like the Next Chapter over that though I'd prefer it was called: Fantastic Four: Doomsday. It would have a double meaning. #1 about Doom and #2 the end of the Earth with Galactus coming.

Forgive me being a total n00b here, but Galactus is confirmed?

...excuse me will I geekasim out!

I thought it was only a rumor.

Surfer is confirmed but nobody has confirmed Galactus yet for this one. However he'll show up as the credits roll IMO or at least we'll hear him coming to set up part 2. Clearly the surfer has no business coming to Earth without Galactus behind him. So we'll see him at the end of this one or part 3. It's better over 2 films. Besides it'll give them more time to figure out how the hell to portray him on film. He can't just be this massive giant with a purple helmet. They'll have to sort of reinvent him because certain things on comic book pages don't work on film the same.

i hope they go a different direction... the next chapter sounds so plain. x-men had x-men united and the last stand. i really think they should go with something that has to do with the plot of the story

Like Spiderman, Spiderman 2 and Spiderman 3????;)

I didn't know Fox was hiring fanboys to come up with their movie titles.

i see you're trying to be a smart aleck... i'm just going to ignore that part

spiderman doesnt have a number in his name already... do you really want it to be fantastic 4 2? or f4-2?

Wow, what a stupid sounding title. What'll they call the next one, "Fantasic Four: The Chapter After Next"?

I hope they change that subtitle...they need to change that.

I just want them to call it Fantastic Four 2 plan and simple.

Fantastic 4 2? heh looks like they're trying to avoid that.

I still haven't seen the first chapter but if silver surfer's in this and the word of mouth is better than "well the fx are cool" then I might check it out. humph...

It's meh..but hopefully it'll grow. It's just so...B movie

F4 2 would sound pretty bad though

I know, that's why I just wish it would be called Fantastic Four 2 but that's just my opinion.

That's just a working title.
It will be called "Fantastic Four: Surfing with the alien"

Worst. Subtitle. Ever.

There does need to be a subtitle, though, because "Fantastic Four Two" just sounds awkward.

Well I rather have that then Fantastic Four: Sufing with aliens.
