not to mention he did show a rection to The Kryptonite.

Umm...I think Singer said the kids was Richard's so he didn't publicly spoil the dramatic payoff to the enitire film prior to it's release.

Just my theory...;

Nah, he just lied thru his teeth. Singer does that all the time. He loves throwing us curveballs. That's why I love that mother****er. He always keep us on our toes and then gives us a nice push.

OK I was thinking about the "when did Lois and Superman do it" question. Although S2 is a possibility I think it raises more questions than it answers.

Now Singer gave us the "Were you in love with him" scene: Remeber that Lois is coy when Richard asks her about the "I spent the night with Superman" article. Also remember that Superman is listening in (aka "stalking" ;) ) and is upset when Lois dismisses the issue as if it was nothing.

I think that Singer is hinting that the consumation happened during STM - possibly during the interview at Lois' apartment.

Now I know, I know....Clark turns up shortly afterwards and there is no evidence of a night of passion - but it was meant to be a romantic scene and we aren't told (in the PG-13 film) that the didn't consumate their relationship.

I think it's the theory that fits best without raising a whole bunch of questions.

Seeing how SR incorporates things of S2 (like, Luthor knowing where the Fortress is), I guess they'll used the fact that Lois and Clark bumped uglies when Clark got depowered by the Red Sun Chamber.

The only problem with this explanation is why were they there in the first place. The whole S2 relationship is predicated on Clark revealing himself to Lois (no pun intended).

If Lois remembers the relationship - why doesn't she remember who Clark is?

the only thing I appreciate about the kid is that he and I share the same name.........that's about it

I really like the scene When Sups was talking to Jason about his powers & being his real father etc .. It was a very emotional scene for me .

I wonder if Jason heard Sups with his super hearing

That's the same question I have. How would Lois explain having Superman's child? Her memory was wiped at the end of Superman II.

I just remembered something about SMII that could clear up this whole thing. Most of us have come into agreement that the kid has to be his because of the display of superpowers. But what if there were a way to clear Clark/ Superman off this whole thing?

Remember in II when Supes takes Lois back to the FOS? If I remember correctly they had dinner there. Now if logic and memory serves correctly, they had dinner with him still in his uniform. If they had dinner, this means he had to leave the FOS, and go to a store, presumably in Canada or Alaska. If he got groceries, perhaps he did have the foresight to buy a pack of Trojans before heading back.
Even though Singer uses the term "vague history", there are definite references to SMII. Therefore I would think that this theory might hold up. The argument may fall solely on whether or not Superman bought Trojan (Her pleasure?)or some inferior Canadian brand. With this theory, we may actually for once be able to blame Canada.

Or the FOS is one giant profilactic in itself (who knows how that thing works?) and that's how it can't be his.

Can't we just assume that due to their romantic relationship, Supes and Lois simply hit the sheets before he left? The prequel comics make it clear that SR also ignores SII. It only follows the template set by STM.

Can't wait to see the movie from what I have seen in the clips and heard all of you talk about he sounds like he did a great job.

Tristan (Jason) really does an amazing job. Every single line is great, and his delivery is awesome for such a young actor.

"Hi! Who are you?" - Jason
"I'm Clark... Kent. A friend of your mom's before you were born." - Clark Kent
"Shes never mentioned you." - Jason
"Really? Never?" - Clark Kent

lololol.

Yeah see here's were "vague history" starts to fall apart.

S2 was referenced at least twice in SR:

"You act like you've been here before" - reference to Lex finding the FOS.

"This is kind of a reunion isn't it?" - Lex and Lois met for the first time in S2.

I didn't mind the "vague history" idea assuming you were going forward without dwelling on previous films (like the James Bond films)- execept they've chosen to reference past events inconsistently - and then base major plot points on those references.

Agreed. Also, he might not be his biological father, but he is the one raising Jason as a father. He calls him "Daddy". Superman doesn't try to take the boy from him when he learns he's the father (which I thought was nicely done handled by Superman). Jason is as much Superman's kid as he is Richard's.

****ing lame. What a dumbass looking bed. Man that movie sucked.

I will just accept that since they have a romantic involvment at some point in their past that, boom, a child. That's enough for me. No more of this "vague history" mumbo jumbo. At least on this subject.

Yellow Son

I noticed that once he stoped using his inhailer, he didnt seem to need it. Anyone else notice that?

Next movie. Superman's relationship is going to grow with his son.

I dont know what's going to happen with the Lois, Richard, Supes triangle, but someday soon, Jason will have to learn the truth of who his father is and Superman needs to guide him.

As completely pointless as he was, he behaved himself and didn't annoy me too much. That's all I can say.
