Closet is mine, pieces are real deal cast.

Been trying to get my hands on them (in them?) for 4 years.

They are the first thing in my newly reworked Batsuit Armoire

Just Amazing!!!!!! where are you getting these replicas? are they replicas or custom made?

Nice but I see no need to make a separate thread for each item you putting in the armoire

Great stuff dude!! Howd ya come across the gauntlets let alone everything else.

There are a couple of Batman costuming boards as well as the Replica Prop Forum. As to how those people came across original props and were able to mold and cast them, I can't say :)

Armoire is mine and I've been slowly building it up in my spare time. Didn't even use any power tools for the first 2 years.

More fun stuff coming soon. I completely tore out and am rebuilding my suit hanger to been much larger and stronger, a men's torso form on solid steel, bolted through the back wall to a metal plate.

Boots soon.

New boots. A little large, but they fit my gigantic (12-13W) feet. Some sections of the leather need pressing.

Totally rebuilding the suit hanger from scratch. Instead of a gimpy velvet covered coat hanger, it will be a torso muscle form bolted to a 5/8" steel rod, which runs all the way through the back wall, bolted to a steel plate around back. Very strong, no wobble whatsoever. That circle below the cowl is actually the end of the rod looking straight on. All this for a new suit in the works to match the other real pieces.

Pretty amazing, do you have a whole bat room?

It's a pretty unique project what made you wanna do it?

Working on new mount for suit. Fiberglass & steel.
Crappy phone pic.

No bat room, the armoire is sitting in my home office. That's why I want the outside of the thing as authentic as I can, so it doesn't bear any logos or markings that would identify it. To anyone it just appears like some old junky furniture with no special significance... until you open it. I'm not much into collectible merchandise. I have DVDs of BB and TDK, and a little Hot Wheels 1:50 camo & black Tumbler set, and then this project -- that's all. I might try to put together a Wayne Enterprises pelican case with the belt, grapple, harness, and other gear, but mainly I like the raw, visceral, almost demonic appearance of the suit lit up in the closet. I wouldn't complain though if Bob Dullam wanted to give me his Tumbler :)

Reworked the doors to be more accurate, scratch-built some new rosettes for the handles. Not the final stain on the handle arch, it will match more eventually. Not the final look for the large ring either, it will be carved accurately.

Also rotated the handles horizontally and installed a locking gear mechanism. Now the handles actually rotate into the vertical position which turns the gears and slides the locking posts down from the top. Not completely accurate, since the original had one vertical and one horizontal crossbar, but I couldn't do that because of the batarang hangers.

Inside, added an accurate cape to the display. Exact custom fabric used in film for "hero" closeups, made to correct pattern. Electrostatically flocked for maximum darkness.

New custom carved screen accurate ring for doors and installed a new lock. Pretty close to accurate, but not in exactly the correct position. Had no choice on that. Almost done with this. Just need to raise it a few inches, add the bottom pair of handles, put a coat of poly on the whole thing and complete the suit inside. ETA 2 weeks.

hey gregday, didn't I see you on that tv show, hollywood treasures?

you have a website don't you? I think I remember going there once, but I don't remember what it was. Your heath joker mannequin is unbelievable.

Nope, you're thinking of the very very talented Bobby Causey. He has amazing skill.

Something a little different in the collection, made by Jerry Vasilatos to the utmost accuracy and real metal. Made just like any real police badge.

New batarangs, grapple gun, and equipment transport case. Got most of the foam cut. Just waiting on a new utility belt to complete the case.
