It's time to vent about a couple things that bug me whenever there's a Batman-related piece in the media:
Bat-nipples: I get it. Those nipples on the Clooney suits were ridiculous. However, people feel the need to mention them 10+ years after they first popped up (See? Even I have to make jokes.) It's an easy (and tired) thing to joke about and most journalists should know better.
"Holy ____, Batman!": I think it started with articles about Miller's Dark Knight Returns - journalists starting their pieces by writing something along the lines of "Holy angst, Batman!! Comics aren't for kids any more!" Now, some two decades later we're still getting that. Look up articles about BATMAN BEGINS and you're bound to turn up a few that feature that sentence. I'm sure that somewhere there's an article that begins with "Holy bat-nipples, Batman!!". It needs to stop.
