So tonight, through Facebook, a good many friends and I got linked to this news story:

MELBER, Ky. — Talon Falls, a Halloween attraction in Melber, Kentucky, is on fire. Crews from several departments are responding.
The fire started sometime before 8 p.m. Wednesday. The fire is contained but is covering roughly two acres at this time.
Jamey Locke, director of Graves County Emergency Management, warns the public not to approach the area.

Talon falls planned to open March 4-5 for an event called "Scream Break".

It moved in 2009 from Highland Church Road in McCracken County to its present location.

The park draws thousands of people each night during the month of October.
Local 6 has a crew on the scene and will bring you more on this story as it develops.
Thanks to viewers Chad Conder and Wendy Farmer for their photos.
Take a look at the pics, but they are heartbreaking for a hundred or so of us. During October for the past 9 years of my life, this place is my life, and I hope it still will be in years to come. I've met so many awesome people, learned so much I never would have learned if not for out there. I have so many crazy stories, so many great stories from the place. We were supposed to open for 3 days in March for "Scream Break". Sorry if I'm rambling, but watching this happen is awful.:csad:

that sucks dude. i hope it becomes like a phoenix and births something even better than before...good luck with everything.

Dorky, if it becomes a pheonix, Magneto will only realize when it is too late that the wrong he has done.

But no seriously, this sucks.

Well, according to the latest news, no word on the cause of the fire, but the two secondary attractions, Blood creek Hayride and Dead End haunt were saved, but Talon Falls is completely gone. A part of me is happy since my first years were part of the Dead End before it moved to that location, but the last three years I was part of the Talon Falls team, as I was my very first year.

Thanks for the kind words guys. The Facebook group for the haunt has ignited into so much support, its so cool to see, but I wish it wasnt under these circumstances.
