Maybe Jon with the black v-neck suit just didn't look that good CGI'ed. They said in test shots the all black spider-suit didn't look so good for spidey3 so changed it to just the normal suit blackened up, could be a similar effect here, just doesn't look good. Tbh, I think it's a minor point, he goes from black panties to letting it all hang out.
Yeh thats a fair point about it not looking good. That may well be the case.
But as for him going from pants to 'letting it all hang out', eventhough its not necessarily a big deal it still detracts from some of the imagery created by the gradual removal of it. I always saw that as Manhattans gradual seperation from humans and life in general, to become more God-like.
But, as i said, i dont see it as a big deal. Just one of those little visual things i hoped would make it.
