Anyone else hear that low but definite sound of *plonkage* a few posts back? No? Just me then.![]()

Imagine if the first half hour happens just as planned, then Clark gets the time travel crystal and doesn't tell her about his secret, but Lana died again in a car accident, somewhere completely different and without causing a scene so to protect Clark's secret from Lex and such, and dies in Clark's arms, never knowing who he really was or what could have been. Talk about angst. This would also teach our young hero that not even he can change fate.

If I had creative control, thats what I would have had happen. And in the follow up episode, ala Vengeance, I would have ended the episode with Clark in the loft staring out into the sunset, Lana would appear in his daydream, in a homage to the pilot, but when Clark goes to touch her she would disappear, and Clark would finally break down and cry, either by himself or in the arms of Lois Lane. I can't really decide at the moment.
