Reckoning

Avid and TK... don't get my hopes up. I've about given up on any good resolutions for Lana. :(

Anyone else hear that low but definite sound of *plonkage* a few posts back? No? Just me then. ;) :D

Aww, don't give up Serene. I've just gotten hope that Lana's going to get a good resolution. I hope that I can revive your flagging spirits without getting your hopes artificially inflated.

I think there will be a great resolution for all the characters. I havent lost hope on Lana yet.

I'm wondering if at the beginning of this season if we'll still see a hateful Lana or whether her and Clark will come to some sort of understanding.

Ignore the nonsense and believe the way you want to believe. :)

i hate her. i hate her SO much, but like toothache, i can stand her to a certain point

comicboy, you did realize I was kidding, right?

Lana should have died in this episode......twice.

Imagine if the first half hour happens just as planned, then Clark gets the time travel crystal and doesn't tell her about his secret, but Lana died again in a car accident, somewhere completely different and without causing a scene so to protect Clark's secret from Lex and such, and dies in Clark's arms, never knowing who he really was or what could have been. Talk about angst. This would also teach our young hero that not even he can change fate.

Thank You.

If I had creative control, thats what I would have had happen. And in the follow up episode, ala Vengeance, I would have ended the episode with Clark in the loft staring out into the sunset, Lana would appear in his daydream, in a homage to the pilot, but when Clark goes to touch her she would disappear, and Clark would finally break down and cry, either by himself or in the arms of Lois Lane. I can't really decide at the moment.

Interesting idea--but would you really want Clark to turn into the emo-kid moping over his dead girlfriend? Because that's what would have happened if Lana had died, 100% guarenteed.

I used to think like you did, but I've become a big Lana supporter after rewatching key episodes in S4 & 5. So let's just say I'm grateful that you don't have any creative control. ;)

I would like to think, that while emo at first, it would help him grow into the man he is destined to become.

Also, I personally don't like Lana, which I blame the writers for. Her character has hardly grown in five season's and seems to bring every storyline she is involved in down, and thats sad because I like Kristin Kreuk as an actress.
