Comcept has posted a teaser trailer for new collaboration with animation company Studio 4°C called Red Ash: The Indelible Legend.
The trailer teases:“Some legends shape our lives…A full reveal is planned for this Saturday, July 4, at the Anime Expo, likely during the “Keiji Inafune and Eiko Tanaka Guest Panel” at 11:30 a.m. PT.
Some legends leave us with the promise of a new tomorrow…
And some legends herald greatness, only to lose their way…”
Here’s the text posted alongside the trailer:Now what in the world could this be…?It looks very much like it could be a spiritual successor to Mega Man Legends. If we change the spacing in the title, in fact, it’s “Re-Dash,” and Mega Man Legends is known as Rockman Dash in Japan. But whether it will be a game or an animation is to still to be announced.
Well…whatever it is, we decided to give our backers a special first look at it!
If you want to know more, you are all just going to have to wait until Independence Day to find out!
We can’t say anything more until then, but we think you get the idea.
Please share this video with all your friends, and help spread the word!
Watch the teaser below.

MML I thought that's what Mighty N0 9 was for all thing mega man & gun volt? both made by him. and stated to be so .
Legends isn't really like most Mega Man games. It's an action adventure type of game, sort of more along the lines of Zelda as opposed to a side-scrolling platformer.
Also, Gunvolt wasn't made by Inafune. He only helped with promotion and had the psuedo-crossover with MN9.

After a brief introduction by Inafune in the trailer above, the first look at the game starts at the 0:35 mark of the video, with footage of the game’s hero Gunvolt taking on different villains like “The Wormhole Maker Melac,” “The Explosive Rage: Daytona” and more, using his lightning abilities to zap them.
In case you’re wondering about Inti Creates, aside from Mighty No. 9, they developed Mega Man 9, Mega Man 10, and are also involved with Shantae: Half-Genie Hero.
Azure Striker Gunvolt will be released this summer on the Nintendo eShop for 3DS in Japan. The game was announced at the ongoing Bitsummit conference.

Mega Man developers Inti Creates and series creator Keiji Inafune recently announced a new game called Azure Striker Gunvolt at the ongoing Bitsummit conference. 4Gamer gives us a closer look at the upcoming side-scrolling action game.
Keiji Inafune will be the Executive Producer and action supervisor of the game, according to the report. Meanwhile, former Capcom staffer Yoshihisa Tsuda (Mega Man X2, Mega Man Zero) will take on the role of director. Yo****aka Hatakeyama (Mega Man 9) will be on art, with Takuya Aizu (Mighty No. 9, various Mega Man titles) as the producer. Finally, Ippo Yamada who has previously worked on various Mega Man and Mega Man Zero games will be in charge of the music.
Gunvolt’s basic attacks will be from his “Dart Leader” shots. They don’t pack much of a punch but have the ability to lock-on targets. You’ll be able to hold down the shot button for consecutive attacks.
The above is a look at how you’ll be locking on with the Dart Leader, which comes in three different stages. Here’s a look at the concept art for Gunvolt’s main weapon.

I want to love this, but there almost feels like no point without Tron. She made Legends for me.

Up above? That’s a mock-up for what Comcept’s Red Ash will look like while you’re playing it. Comcept describe the title as an action-adventure with third-person shooter elements.
Following the launch of their Kickstarter for Red Ash, which is a spiritual successor to Mega Man Legends, Comcept have shared further details on the project, including what sort of scope one should expect from it.
Comcept say that their vision for Red Ash consists of a story that is split into two parts, the first part being the “KalKanon Incident” that is currently detailed on their Kickstarter page. The game that covers this portion of the story will offer around 8 hours of playtime for players going straight from the opening sequence to the end credits. To add further depth to the game, Comcept say they plan on adding more events to the planned areas, to give players incentive to explore and search for secrets.
This vision, they say, is spread across the stretch goals that are currently listed on the Red Ash Kickstarter page. If the campaign only reaches its base goal of $800,000, this content will need to be cut down on, and the additional content planned for the stretch goal episodes will not be added. More details on just what content these episodes will offer will be shared in the future.
Regarding the mock-up above, Comcept clarify: “With the current initial goal we have set, adding Tyger as a playable was not possible so we originally wanted to avoid releasing this image so as not to confuse backers. However, we also want to convey to our fans what sort of game we are looking to create, and we also feel it is important to convey all parts of the original vision of the game, including Tyger as a playable character! We still want to add Tyger to the game, so do your part and spread the word about the project!”
Red Ash is in development for PC. Console stretch goals haven’t been revealed yet.

source: SiliconeraComcept’s spiritual successor to Mega Man Legends, Red Ash, has a main theme composed by Manami Matsumae, who is working on this game as well, following her duties on Mighty No. 9. You can listen to the theme below.

Matsumae shared the following comment on her main theme for Red Ash:
I first saw the materials for Red Ash in late May, and I was asked to compose the theme song. As soon as I saw the concept, I thought “Wow, some stylish Jazz tunes would go really well with this!” and everyone replied “Really!? We were thinking the same thing!” They left it up to me to freely compose the music I wanted to write. They really didn’t ask for anything specific, and just said “We want a really catchy melody!”Additionally, on the same update that they revealed the main theme, Comcept also stated that news regarding the console ports of Re Ash will be shared soon.
Unlike the near future feel of Mighty’s music, it’s more difficult to compose Jazzy tunes with catchy melodies, but I came up with some pleasant chord progressions fairly quickly. From there, the melody almost wrote itself. It’s very different from what I’ve written up until now, and I love it! I hope everyone enjoys this song as well; it would make me really happy!

![]()
The Kickstarter campaign for Comcept’s Mega Man Legends successor Red Ash: The Indelible Legend has added a stretch goal for a console port.
At $1 million funded, Red Ash will be ported to one additional console. As for which console that might be, that’s something that Comcept says it “needs to negotiate with the console makers.”
“Ideally we would love to port the game to all 3 current home consoles: PS4/Xbox One/Wii U,” a blog post reads. “But porting Mighty No.9 taught us exactly how much it costs to port to a single console (which includes not only the port work itself, but also debugging and all other costs that add up). We take our ports seriously, and though there may be some sticker shock at the cost, we are planning wisely with the money from your support!
“Most importantly, we want to port Red Ash to the console most wished for by our backers. We will put up a preliminary poll soon, so you can make your voice heard and let our team know where you want Red Ash on consoles first! Then, once the campaign ends, we will send a survey to make your final vote! The survey will only be available to backers, so be sure to tell everyone you can about this big news!”
A second stretch goal was also added. At $1.5 million funded, Episodes IV and V of the game will be developed and released.
Finally, tonight’s update brings a new concept image, this one showing Call with Gofer in her motorcycle’s sidecar.![]()
