Totally agree. That might have made Mexico feel a little less like filler missions.

Yeah, on a whole Mexico was way too long winded. I hardly ever travel into Mexico now that I finished the game.

yeah I was confused about that and found it a bit too morally ambigious about which side was supposed to be the "good" one

Well in a way the game made that choice for you with the Reyes assault on Allende's compound. However, it seems while De Santa and Allende were monsters for killing folks, Reyes motives seemed more than "fighting for the people".

You have to shoot everyone in Mexico with headshots.

Reyes felt like the lesser of 2 evils. I didnt find myself caring for the rebels cause.

I wish there was more to West Elizabeth. I loved Blackwater the most bc it looked like a Northern town from that era and vastly different from what we saw earlier in the game. I wish there was more towns in that area besides Blackwater

Yeah, we need more single player DLC.

I am taking this game super slow...just crossed over to Mexico and I missed the epicness of the song :( It was something I was SO looking forward to and I guess I veered off into a different direction so the song was cutoff. ahhhh

in short....Reyes, Allende, an DeSanta are all full of ****
I just read a newspaper at the end of the game and Reyes [blackout]is just as bad if not worse than his predecessor. He's president and his people are starving and he's accused of being a tyrant. He also has thousands massacred by the government in a small town. He becomes just as corrupt and evil as the governerment officials he overthrew[/blackout]

I love that the game blew up the idea that the rebels are always nice people who actually care. The rebels in this game are just *******s who want to be *******s with power.

And I know why. The Mexico missions. You were forced to play both sides. So depending on how you played the game in one mission you were mowing down federales. In the next mission you were mowing down rebels. I really didn't like that part of the game for that. It would've been better if you just chose what side you wanted to be on and move on from there.

This game borrows a lot of elements from famous Westerns, most notably the Sergio Leone's films.

The whole Mexican section really felt like Duck You Sucker brought to life. In the film, an Irishman and a Mexican form an alliance with the Mexican Revolution as the backdrop.

Basically the movie is saying that both sides were bull****. The game shows this to some extent too. If you read the newspapers upon game completion, it has an article about Reyes' rule and how the people are displeased with him.

Mexican subplot would have been epic if Sam Elliot voiced Rickett's character.

EDIT: Ha, didn't see your post Havok83. What he said...

I got the use a pardon on a $5000 bounty by sitting on my horse in the middle of Blackwater and shooting anyone that passed by with my rifle. The crazy thing is that no one called the cops on me. I massacred the entire town and not one cop came to arrest or kill me. People were really stupid too. If you heard hundreds of shots being shot, why would you run through the streets where the killer is? They just made it easy for me...lol

I miss this game already. I mean, I got all the achievos and hideouts can only last so long....I really hope Rockstar unleashes the floodgates when it comes to DLC.

Also, lassoing people as they ride by is the funniest thing, ever.

It would be cool if they gave [blackout]Jack[/blackout] some DLC missions. It would be cool if they extneded the story and gave full expansion packs like they did with GTA

That would be nice, however, they must change his voice!:cmad:

Old school missions with Landon Ricketts would be my top choice.

Hah, i didnt see that. Gotta love Rockstar for throwing in real world parallels.

Another good one would be Dutch's gang. It would take place before the events of RDR, and you missions would have you play as Dutch, John, Javier and Williamson. You'd be encouraged to be a bad guy and we would see some of the chaos the gang caused early on

They should make the next game a prequel with Landon Ricketts as the main character and have it take place during the California Gold Rush, that would be awesome imo.

How about just another story altogether for a new game?

Rockstar seems to do better when they start over again. I agree that a sequel would be tough because the era is shifting to WWI

I think a western story from civil war era would be epic

But if they had to do a story I agree Ricketts would be awesome.

Would anyone else like to see some earlier chapters as DLC? Like riding with Dutch and his gang, marrying Abigail and getting his son?

How about Ricketts finding
Jack marston
and doing a story there?

I don't really like [BLACKOUT]Jack Marston[/BLACKOUT]. He reminds me of William Turner from Pirates of the Caribbean.

I wondered if they would do a sequel. It seems thats what they were setting up in the final part of the game as that would have led perfectly into one. But then that finl stranger mission kinda resolved things and I dont see them picking up from there. [BLACKOUT]Jack seeking revenge for what happened to his father would have been for a strong enough story for a new game, but it got wrapepd up rather quickly here[/BLACKOUT]

Not gonna happen considering Ricketts is [BLACKOUT]dead [/BLACKOUT]by the end

I thought he was such a whiny b-tch when he was first introduced. He hasnt grown on me and I think John's character model looks better

It sucks that there's no new game+. I would've loved to play the game again from the beginning, with my unlocked suits, the sweet new weapons and my fully upgraded dead-eye.

IA, bc I want to play all over again as a bad guy but dont want to redo everything. One thing I love though is that they added a Replay Missions option. This is the one feature Ive wanted since 2001 when GTA3 was released. I heard it was in the last DLC, but I never got that. Glad to see RDR have it
